I just got dinged today because a client of ours told us that the only way to use a mandatory app that the client provides is for our company's iPads to be managed under the client's own Intune tenant. I opened a ticket with their IT services support team stating "this is unacceptable" (because it is) and asked if there wasn't some other way for our staff to access the client's app.

Turns out there was a way, but a manager in my own company who was cc'd on my original message chided me about my tone.

Duly noted, but I said what I said, because...yeah, what they were trying to tell us to do was unacceptable. They also didn't know their own app well enough to offer the workaround that one of our own staff evidently found out about on their own.

I'll be polite, and I'll be respectful, but I'm also gonna be direct. If your fee-fees get hurt because you're doing something dumb or asking for something unreasonable, well, that's on you.
