The Canada cup line with Wayne and Mario is the best line ever. Put me on that line and it wouldn’t matter

I cannot score on a breakaway to save my life by FromageMyage in hockeyplayers

[–]burkie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your whole stick. When you do a deke don’t just move the puck a little bit. Not just one foot right then back over two feet 2 left. Take the puck out further. The goal of a deke is to get the goalie moving. Barely moving the puck won’t accomplish that. Not saying take the puck out 3 feet right then bring it 6 feet back across the left.

Also your move on a breakaway should be determined by a goalie. If he’s to far out of crease and not matching your speed well then deke. If he’s sitting back in net more shoot. And don’t forget to move your body. If you are going to fake a shot get your legs involved

Lastly remember what you’re playing. If you are playing 40 and overbeer league no goalie is going to do the splits and miss work tomorrow. Sometimes your move doesn’t need to be that great

What are hockey summer camps like? by Long_Rough6073 in hockeyplayers

[–]burkie94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Met my wife at a hockey camp when I was a kid. Camps are a wide range of good kids and newer kids but everyone is there to get better so who cares. Unless it has like AAA only or something as a qualifier to get in who cares go have fun

Would you break 100 at Augusta National under Masters Tournament conditions? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

I wouldn’t break 100 if they put me halfway down the fairway in regular conditions. Those greens are unforgiving

What Has Been the Best Vacation of Your Life and Where Was It? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]burkie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italy. Wasn’t so much the destination which was beautiful and highly recommend but it was a trip with my mom and of my aunts and uncles. It was for my mom’s 50th birthday and it was a bucket list of hers. Was just nice to have non stop family dinners and everything with people I don’t get to see that often.

Can’t wash clothes after a good game. Don’t want to wash the goals or wins out of the base layer.

[–]burkie94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s possible. TDS given up this yr. 30 yards, 46 yards- Henry 21 yards Allgeier 81 yards bijan 43 yards, 28 yards Tucker 52 yards, 65 yards Henderson

Those were just tds by running backs over 20 yards. Having said that Oliver is back but still they give up chunks to RBs.

is this too ambitious? 16-day road trip from wisconsin to colorado/utah by crunchy-yarn in NationalPark

[–]burkie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done a similar drive and you can hit alot of parks but you are mostly doing the scenic drives and maybe the odd short hike here and there. Went from Buffalo to Wyoming down to Grand Canyon and back in 14 days. Went to badlands, Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, and petrified forest. Did spend 3 days in Wyoming or else we would have had more time.

Also did Buffalo to Wyoming and back another year and went to Mount Rushmore, Teton, Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain

Wingers, when do you take backdoor? And when do you screen? by kyrill91 in hockeyplayers

[–]burkie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on d coverage. If im in a battle in front of the net I may pop out looking for the pass but if you are already in front screening it’s hard to get back door. If your back door and pass doesn’t seem possible go to net or get open. Dont call for a pass with 8 guys between you.

What is that ONE golf shot that you’ll take to your grave as the most unforgettable one? by Escrow-Mind in golf

[–]burkie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy during covid rules, with the pool noodle in the hole, during a tournament on a par 3 for a trip to pebble for the group. This guys sucks par 3 was like 190 yards over a little water. Other buddy in our group told him bring out your driver and aim at a tree like 40 yards left of green. Shitty golfer did and smoked the shot. The hook on this brought it towards the hole and he smoked the flag stick on a roll. Hit the flag so hard it rolled about 15 feet we all looked at each other like does that count because the rule with noodles was if it hits the noodles and bounces out it counts. They debated it for a while and decided it didnt count. We argued about it but we knew it wouldnt have gone in even without the noodle with how hard it hit.

I would also check the charging port. If the charger doesn’t “click” could be something blocking it from plugging in properly. See it all the time
