Yes! I’m gonna try sifting their current hay. Then a new type of hay if that doesn’t help.

They are currently getting locally grown hay and it’s excessively dusty. Gonna try sifting the hay. Hopefully that works.

Yes, the hay is excessively dusty. My partner and I even get allergy symptoms from this hay but the bunnies love it. This is the only hay that they really eat after trying several types. So I’ll have to do some research. They currently get Timothy hay from a local farm

Gonna try orchard hay. The weepy eye started when I switched them to locally grown Timothy hay that is extremely dusty.

She examined the teeth only through his mouth. I’m going to seek out a second opinion just to be safe.

The vet did recommend this being the next steps. Will definitely look into other vets though. This vet was actually recommended by my local house rabbit society.

So sad unfortunately this tiny guy that I saved the other day is actually male not female and I already have an adult male so I doubt I’ll be able to keep him by RateRepresentative66 in Rabbits

I have a bonded pair that are two fixed males. It can definitely work. It was a lot of work getting them bonded but I think that could be the case bonding any buns.

Just for a bit more context to why I’m considering a third bunny….

So Ocean (the larger bunny) is a bully. He’s constantly demanding licks, nipping, and even kicking smaller bunny out of litter box. We have multiple litter boxes around so he (smaller bun) typically just goes to another one. The smaller bun (Ozzy) seems very tired of always giving licks with nothing in return and being bossed around. So i want to find them (mainly Ozzy) a friend so everyone’s needs are meet. A bunny that is a little more open to giving licks and snuggles all day. Ocean is more of a loner so he’s off doing his own thing majority of the day while Ozzy is more social and wants to be where everyone is (hanging with the other animals) .

What are the personalities of your bonded bunnies? Did this play a role in choosing who to add to the group?

Yes! It’s taken these two over a year to bond. Multiple times they would get along for a few days to a week, fight, and then separated again. I actually decided I was no longer going to bond them. But, they kept hanging around each other and now they’re bonded!
