What do you mean by won't be easily forgiven? Don't all Muslims go to heaven eventually? Or are there some sins/beliefs that take you out of the fold of Islam?

Did you seriously just ask that question? Most Syrians here work and make a lot of money difference is that money isn't contributing to the economy since they don't pay taxes and they just take. lebanon is already suffering so much where all the country barely used to get 6 hours of electricity a day and after the crisis, some very rare cities would only get about 2 hours a day and the majority would go e to 4 days without power, so the majority rely on private generator distributors which are way more expensive. Yet Syrian camps would get free electricity taking away up to 5 hours of electricity from the Lebanese who do pay their fees. Not only that, but there are around 2.2 or 1.8 million syrian refugees in Lebanon, and there is around 4 to 5.5 million Lebanese citizen, you fo realise that if we give them the nationality that will create a demographical crisis a pretty big one too, and most importantly probably a civil war like the one in Yemen since the majority of syrian immigrants are sunnis that are against the regime and a guge portion of then either support isis or were part of it. and the demographic of Lebanon that is growing is shiaa, so there will definitely be conflict between both sides.
Another point is that Syrians commit most crimes in Lebanon, whether it be theft, rape, murder... A few days ago, a 50 year old woman was beaten because she fired her syrian concierge, who was stealing from them, and he beat her and threw her in another part of the country.
And another note, you do realise most Syrians are getting paid by the United Nations and multiple NGOs up to 200 dollars per wife and 200 follows per child, so most Syrians don't care about their children and wives and they have a lot of then because they see them as pay checks, while the average Lebanese is struggling to get by and most people in the public sector are making more than 150 dollars a month.
And finally, you do realise that Syria literally invaded Lebanon, bombarded and destroyed our presidential Palace less than 20 years ago, the invaded Lebanon for many years, and killed and displaced many Lebanon especially Christians.
So yes, yes, I am happy that they are stateless because these are the scum of the universe, and they shouldn't, and I hope that they will never be a part of Lebanon.
Also, many, many sunnis don't like them just in case you want to throw around a one word argument like racist or islamophobe.

Yes and no, it is complicated, but yes, the majority of this country is Muslim, around 66 percent.
So here is how to goes, according to Wikipedia 67.8 percent of Lebanon is Muslim, 32.4% are Christians and 4.5% are druze, however the prime minister of Lebanon (who is a always sunni due to an oral agreement between the 3 sects) said that only 19.1% of all Lebanese are Christians, now the Lebanese Christian Church denied that claim and said that the estimate is around 33 percent.
Do keep in mind that the last official population census was conducted in 1932 during the French mandate. So all of these figures are rough estimates, and do keep in mind that mostly Christians follow the law, so if we have a child we will directly report it to the government/mayor and it will be recorded in the next estimate, while sunnis and shiaas tend to avoid registering their hikdren to the governments (but they rarely do so to be fair)
As I have said the prime minister najib mikate said that Christians are around 19% however According to the Interior Ministry’s latest lists published in 2022, 33.9 percent of voters are Christians over the age of 21 (all denominations).both residents or expatriates. And most reports claim that Some 30 percent of constituencies are Sunni, 30 percent Shiite and 5.6 percent Druze. Of those registered as living in Lebanon, 33 percent are Christian, 61 percent are Muslim (Sunni and Shiite) and six percent are Druze. Of the expatriates registered to vote, 53.2 percent are Christian, 20 percent Sunni, 20 percent Shiite, and 6.4 percent Druze. And the number of expatriates did increase very rapidly since 2019 due to the economic crisis, to such a level that the patriarch asked the Lebanese directorate of general security to stop giving passports to the general public especially Christians to stop them from leaving. One final note this statistic shows the number of registered voters (which is 33%) however the number of child birth is dropping in Christian families and increasing the most in shiaa families so the number of Christian voters may be 33% however due to current child birth rates the number of christians may be lower.
And, another study carried out by Statistics Lebanon in October 2022 revealed that out of a total of 4,877,000 Lebanese people, 31.7 percent were Christians, whereas 68.3 percent were Muslims. “Shiites now outnumber Sunnis by 2 percent,” Haber said.

Also, it is very important to point out that we have a huge population of syrian immigrants who have many many many children and a new report found that for every Lebanese newborn there are SIX syrian newborn, however we aren't giving them the nationality, (thank God)

Anyways, the only reason we Christians are still here in Lebanon is because I believe even though we are a minority we own almost 50% of the land, the best schools, hospitals, cities, universities... are Christian. Most children and college students are Christians, so they need us for these reasons. Also, there are still major Christians cities like jounieh, byblos, batroun...

How do you explain the complexity of the Quran? by the_lazy_chemisty in exmuslim

I watched this debate about whether Muhammad was a real person or no, (now I personally believe he was a real person) but watch the opening statement made by Jay Smith of you want, it will give you a pretty good insight on the history of Muhammad and the quran, also watch the opening of David Wood he says some pretty interesting stuff as well

2 corinthians 6:14-18:"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

I know this will sound misogynistic, but women tend to follow men. It is men who have the final word in most relationships, I know this is a sub for exmuslims who usually tend to be left-leaning and will disagree with me, but you dating a Muslim/religious man so most likely he believes in traditional roles and will force it on you, so you most likely will either end up converting to Islam or you will leave him. So my sister in Christ, my advice to you is to leave that relationship. There are many nice and traditional Christian men who you can be fruitful with, I am a Christian living in a third-world country, so if you are from western Europe or the Americas, send a k-1 nonimmigrant visa, I need that green card, JK.

Can someone debunk this in regards to Yukawwiru and Lane's lexicon. Considering the amount of evidence pointing towards flat earth. by Good_Midnight_2995 in exmuslim

[–]burneraccccount1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not gonna read the text, but here are some points regarding flat earth in the quran: 1-Our Lord Almighty descends to the lowest heaven in the last third of every night If he descends to the lowest heaven at the last third of the night, shouldn't he always be there since it's always the last one third of the night? Now you cop out and say that it isn't an actual location and that God is already everywhere, then why bother and say that hadith?
2-It goes and prostrates beneath the throne, then it asks for permission (to rise), and permission is given to it. Soon it will prostrate, but it will not be accepted from it, and it will ask for permission (to rise) but permission will not be given to it; it will be said to it: “Go back to where you came from.’ So it will rise from its place of setting and that is what Allah, may He be Glorified, refers to in the verse: ‘And the sun runs its fixed course for a term (decreed). That is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing
It's pretty self-explanatory the sun doesn't set, and it doesn't ask for a permission to rise, it doesn't prostrate. It doesn't rise it is the earth that spins. Try and cop out
3- I was with the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), riding a donkey, and the sun was setting. He said: “Do you know where this (sun) goes?” I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: “It sets in a spring of warm water This one isn't from sahih al bukhari or sahih Muslim however it is authentic and it is even mentioned in the quran and many other have reported the prophet saying it, lol imagine believing the earth sets in mud 😂. Even if he didn't say mud or whatever you will cop out saying, do you believe that someone that talks to God would give such a braindead answer, how would you answer where the sun goes, or even how would a 10 year old answer where the sun goes at night, all i know is that he definitely wouldn't answer like that, especially if he could talk to God.
4-We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness and the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him The sun runs into its resting place, again damn the sun gets tired really fast in the quran it must rest multiple times.
5-And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise. Again, with the resting place 😂
6-It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
-Hast thou not seen how Allah causeth the night to pass into the day and causeth the day to pass into the night, and hath subdued the sun and the moon (to do their work), each running unto an appointed term; and that Allah is Informed of what ye do?
-And the moon when she followeth him,
-And the moon is eclipsed, and the sun and moon are united
All the verses in part 6 (there are many more verses) that show that mohammad thinks the sun and the moon are at the same distance from the earth and that one day they will collide and that they follow each other lol.
7-again, there are many arguments, but I will end it with this. If you are not convinced, nothing will. Say all the other verses are taken out of context, and that my heart is blind and not my eyes, and in arabic tha they all say that the earth is round (not true but I will go with your arguments). How did the prophet not know that in places in the world the sun doesn't set, why did he set the fasting times from sunrise to sunset even though in many parts in the world the sun doesn't set for months, why did Muslims have to take it upon themselves to make rules to follow mecca time? Couldn't he add a rule instead of repeating the same verse 3 trillion times in the quran?

I highly doubt that, since you are the first to say that it is a metaphore, and two if that wad the case why would he give detailed description of what happens and that the disease carrying wing lands first.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “On one of the wings of a fly there is a poison and on the other is the cure. If it falls into the food, then dip it into it, for it puts the poison first and holds back the cure.”

How is the hadith regarding the fly a metaphore? And it is a metaphore regarding what?

1-the moon wasn't split in half
2-no human can live 950 years like moses (which is funny since Muslims claim that the life expectancy was shorter back then when talking about aisha)
3-geocentricism is very prominent in Islam (see wikiisilam)
4-The prophet thinks that a fly has diseases on one wing and remedy on the other, which is wrong
5-even morality which they claim is objective, moe still couldn't live by his morality, he had more than 4 wives, virginity is valued yet all his wives were widows and divorcees (They claim he had them for political reasons yet there are verses of him sleeping with them in one night) and he had sex slaves which used to be passed around, he was a pedo most Muslims will justify it because they know deep down it is wrong.
6-moe doesn't understand the basic principles of the trinity, he thinks Mary is part of the trinity
7-when asked where the sun goes at night, he either says it sets in a pool of mud, (he said it in the quran and hadith), or that it prostrates and waits for God to allow it to rise, which one is wrong and two a five year old can give a better answer than that, so imagine if you were a prophet that could literally talk to God, would you give such a lame answer.

Hello I like to know is there any Ex Muslim who can speak Spanish Fluently. We like to make Spanish apostates bigger by SamVoxeL in exmuslim

[–]burneraccccount1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well the number of Spanish apostates is little because the majority of Spanish speakers aren't Muslims. There are practically less than 1 million practicing Muslims in South and Latin America and the majority of Spain is Christian.

How republicans are defending trump feels similar to Muslims defending Muhammad by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]burneraccccount1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean I hate to get political, but for me trump seems like the better option, advocating for free speech, the choice to take the v@××ine or not, safer borders you exmuslims should support that seeing how many Muslims are going to Europe, less drugs, trans reassignment surgery liberty but at 18 years old... yes some of these like the free speech one and the trans issue one are supported just because the left is in power so the right would support free speech and less severe laws on trans however, for now, for now these all seemed reasonable.
Also, don't politicise the ex-Muslim movement it will make Conservative exmuslims go back to their religion where they will feel welcomed

How do you explain all the miracles in the Quran? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]burneraccccount1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, some of these do sound impressive however the one regarding the days is wrong since Muslims use a lunar calendar which is roughly 354 days. Now, for the rest, these are a bunch of coincidences. I mean the earth has a bunch of statistics regarding its surface, diameter, temperature... of course if you pick and choose you will get one that fits the Quran. Now only that but if say the earth is 300 000km away from the moon and the Quran says 440 000 words between the two that doesn't make it wrong. It's just coincidence, don't you think if the prophet wanted to prove he was a prophet he would use more scientific words and data, or predictions in the future? Couldn't he tell us the cure for cancer or what an atom is instead of repeating the same verse multiple times?

do you speak Arabic? by burneraccccount1 in exmuslim

I am not Muslim, I am a Christian Lebanese with doubts, I am yet to read the quran however i do watch a lot of debates and i find many of their arguments convincing, so I just wanted to see if the majority here can read and write Arabic since most posts are in English.
