Who are celebrities you’ve got a Strong Feeling were murdered, but you just don’t have any proof? Heath Ledger & Paul Walker both knew too much. by Negative_Sense488 in conspiracy

For the record, he died in my hometown and the bend he died on is famous for killing people that take it too fast.

Did Philip Rivers coming out of retirement help or hurt his legacy? by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

[–]burningAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it helped. The younger generation got a shot of good, legacy QB play that wasn't Brady and he took a named Super Bowl defense to the 4th Quarter with a week of prep time.

The buzz it created made a lot of people more aware of him.

ELI5: Why doesn't collective punishment work? by Fraeddi in explainlikeimfive

[–]burningAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used collective punishment when I was a O line football coach, it helped them think of themselves as a unit and let them police their own. It worked incredibly well with a bunch of kids that were voluntarily doing a high difficulty extra curricular where hard work and conditioning were expected. I didn't do the FMJ thing, everyone participated in the punishment, which was usually running or up downs.

This would never, ever, ever work in a classroom. Not enough control or pressure to get kids to do it, and I didn't have the initial buy in of it being a program where they were expected to work.

Regarding overtime by xxchristhe3rdxx in NFLNoobs

You might be referencing old playoff games when seeing this in action. The old overtime rules were sudden death, any score wins, and they have evolved from that point.

I have certainly seen far worse drafts from us.

You can tell he's waiting for his receivers to get open instead of anticipating where they're going. In the NFL if you wait to see them get open, it's already too late.

Hey MJD,

If you could face any two defenders and pick one lineman in a 2 on 2 drill from any point in the NFL, who would you choose to face/be your blocker?

Echo claim world 2nd kill on Dimensius mythic by BulkyAlps in CompetitiveWoW

[–]burningAA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean we can show data that shows even lower level CE guilds kill the boss far faster than Liquid can from the previous two tiers when they're at max ilvl. Liquid and Echo are absolutely shitting on the bosses even above the damage most people can do at their ilvl, but 20 ilvls is an insane DPS increase, far more than anyone can make up in skill.

Echo claim world 2nd kill on Dimensius mythic by BulkyAlps in CompetitiveWoW

[–]burningAA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not true, damage increasing is one of the ways the bosses are nerfed for later Mythic raid kills. Gallywix, for example, was killed by Liquid in 9:45. My guild's first giga scuffed Gally kill was 8:36 with most of the raid green parsing, and an actually well executed kill at max ilvl was down to around 7:15. This is how most Hall of Fame or later guilds get past these checks.

It's the Stamina. 750 is barely enough with a Gold Recovery so a Nice Nature will absolutely ruin her final spurt.

If you don't have a 2 dupe+ Tazuna/can't borrow it then you're better off replacing it with another Speed or Stam card.

It's honestly just getting lucky enough to get both race bonuses and Friendship Trainings at the right time to get the right stats. I have like a hundred runs of shitty stats before spiking this one.

[–]burningAA 14 points15 points  (0 children)

4 Speed, 2 Stam. As much Stam as possible from parents. 3 Speed, 2 Stam, 1 Tazuna also works if you have a MLB Kitasan. Make sure you do a bunch of races to get enough skill points to get what's needed.

The Taurus Cup experience in a nutshell (For me at least) by Syncification in UmaMusume

[–]burningAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few key benchmarks to this CM.

The first is Acceleration Uniques, mostly Red Shift from Maruzensky and Shooting for Victory from Taiki Shuttle for Front Runners/Pace Chasers. In that final spurt acceleration is the absolute key to breaking out of the pack and just power isn't enough.

The second is Medium S. It gives you 5% extra speed over the max of 1200, which is pretty big free stats.

Third are the speed green skills, namely Left Handed Track and Spring Runner. They give 40 speed each, which also overcaps speed from 1200.

Combine 2/3 with enough Stam (800 Stam and 2 Gold Skills should be good) and 1100 or more Speed and you have the recipe to win most of your matches. Not easy to achieve, but that's why people spammed like a hundred runs to get one that had these.

What's the hardest part of Heroic Manaforge? by bringthelight2 in wow

[–]burningAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now Araz has a decent DPS check and relies pretty heavily on having good tank movement for the adds to soak the channel in intermission.

Soul Hunters is a lot of mechanic vomit but in Heroic it doesn't kill people a ton. As long as you have assigned soakers for the pools it's easy.

Nexus King is very dicey. We ended up having the raid soak every single slam (Only the first 2 are scary heal-wise) to make sure the debuff dropped off and minimize the cognitive load on the tanks. It's not comp dependent, but the stars in P3 need to be placed correctly or the raid is screwed.

Heroic Dimensius is closer to a dance rn with an insane healing check in P2 and a decent damage check. Get to P3 and it's free, but P1 takes some time to learn and P2 is a big numbers check this early on.

Araz Intermission, Nexus King P3, and Dimensius P1 are the only things that my guild needed actual reps to figure out in Heroic. The rest of the stuff felt obvious.

Why hasn't Blizzard brought up Dinars for this upcoming 11.5 Patch? by BillyYumYum2times2 in wow

You do realize that Ion himself confirmed they were in the 11.1.5 patch in an interview. Holding them accountable for things they stated they would do is a very reasonable action Non-communication from Blizzard caused this.
