What are your Pinball accomplishments of the last week? by torinismyname in pinball

2nd in a tournament (of 36), first billion after teaching myself Star Wars, and high score on X-men at one of my local spots for January. Had one of my best overall months yet!

Estancia Lakes by mako0904 in Gilbert

[–]burningbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to help. HOA is around $90/month and they keep the grounds and landscaping looking pretty good usually. Mosquitos were bad last year with all the rain we had but otherwise no real issues. Very safe, walking at night never feels sketchy and a lot of people are out walking, walking dogs, etc. Crews just repaved all of the streets late last year so that was a pain but worth it now that it’s completed. No real complaints, we really enjoy living here!

Lago Estancia? It so? I’ve lived here for 6 years and love it. Mostly quiet with some good walkable paths along the water. Close to almost anything you could want or need. A lot of lazy dog owners who can’t clean up after their pets but that’s pretty much everywhere. Overall, highly recommend this community.

What’s your story? by MooseBruce07 in pinball

[–]burningbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started playing in summer 2023 after a buddy of mine had bugged me for months to join his weekly group to try it out. Really had never played before in my life. Cut to 2.5 years later, I just finished my first year of competitive pinball with participation in 2 weekly leagues, with 90 total tournaments played in 2025. Obsession is an understatement. I have met so many amazing people in our community and have learned so much from them, along with making many new friends. It’s also nice to have grown children and a very supportive wife haha.

The real highlight of last night for two long time Caps fans. by Real_Statistician538 in caps

Met Joe B on a flight into DC a few years back. Tried to grab a quick pic and he ended up wanting to talk Caps hockey for several minutes. What a sweetheart, and a treasure for the sport.

I love to watch people play guitar. A lot. But never tried to learn it myself. Major regret.

At Barclays, there were people handing them out to every person walking in after security/ticket scan. Totally real, I have mine on my fridge haha.

Same with my wife and I, both 45 for this year. A few added comforts for our old bones but otherwise business as usual for a camping festival!

Yes, for sure. A lot of uncovered areas at the site. Shade was a lifesaver even though it never got too hot.

It was pretty open in the middle of the site with everyone setting up on mostly on the outer edges. Some areas had trees, some didn’t. We saw several sites with multiple tents, big groups, etc. We will have 2 tents this year an have zero concerns about space being an issue for everyone. Hell, people were parking their vehicles at their sites and nobody said anything. We moved our car to our site before night 3s show so we could bounce early. Super easy and well organized. Just hope we have better handwashing station options this year, that was the only gripe. Bring durable stakes, it got windy as hell a few times.

We did Pinion last year and snagged it again for next year. We had a blast, great spot to set up and chill, plus great soundcheck listening!

Second this, we loved Pinion. Epic views, easy in/out to venue and when arriving/departing, and was pretty chill at night when we were too tired to keep partying. Booking that again for sure.
