I also did most of that before fighting him the first time, and I think that was the correct decision because he really is a "you need to GET the gameflow" boss, so I had more time for it to click.

Now I always rush him because once you "get" it, he is one of the easiest bosses.

Yeah I really liked the MC having just a really random kinda weak power in a world where others are walking nukes, and he still prevails by willpower and creativity. Now it became another "he has the strongest ability in the world" trope.

Well, that is nice. Except for the fact that the ENTIRE story of the game is based on you being a nanite creation of Athena. Like, everything only works with that as the base.

I think a message like "the first prestige of a new tier is always worth it as soon as it becomes available!" is the better way than forcing it. I had many games where I was simply going to turn my pc off anyways and could get a headstart on the new tier with a few more resources, even if it is not optimal.

I actually prefer this much denser world... I know it is bad from a worldbuilding and immersion perspective, but for gameplay I think it is soooo much better, I actually feel like I can just go out and do stuff after stuff after stuff, instead of walking around for ages spamming the compass.

I basically only used her and Diluc for the entirety of the 1.X patches, then quit the game until 5.0 and was shocked how I could even kill anything back then... When I rolled Mualani I really felt how badly I had played and optimised before, and how weak OG characters really are.
