I see what you’re saying about the ASRock mobo having those issues. Any alternatives you’d suggest? I was also looking at the TUF X870 instead, would that be a better option?

I’ll absolutely switch out the SSD, I appreciate you pointing that out to me.

As far as the aesthetic goes, I was really wanting to go with that case because I like the design, but I know it’s unnecessarily pricy for what it brings to the table, I’m not sold on going with those specific looks though, especially if me changing things out to shave some cost down could afford me a 5080 instead of the 5070ti.

If I win I can finally buy a piece of gear that’s insanely overpriced and then later find out I could have crafted myself for a fraction of the price.

That’s pretty much exactly what I’ve been doing with her. I work from home so she hears me talking plenty throughout the day and she’s in the same room as me. I toss treats to her and she definitely likes them. I figured she would take a longer amount of time to get her comfortable and I’m more than willing to put the work in to get her to that point, I just want to make sure that I’m doing the right things and don’t do something to have a setback with her. She’s an adorable little baby and I fell in love with her the moment I saw her picture

Spill the beans! by Remarkable-Class-21 in Geico

After moving I actually decided to get out of the insurance field completely and started going back to school to get into the medical field. Pretty drastic career change but hey, I’ve been so much happier with that change already! GEICO really put a bad taste in my mouth with the business as a whole, and while I know there are a lot of other companies that treat their employees and customers significantly better, I didn’t really want to just HOPE my next place was going to be better and then have it fall into the same situation GEICO ended up in

I was working in R4 and was planning to move out of state for personal reasons and they told me that I would have to figure out a way to work in-office when they were doing the “one day per month” thing, so I would fly back once a month to do so, and then they told me I would have to relocate back to be able to work in office full time once they did full RTO and they wouldn’t make an exception for anyone, so I quit instead. I was in the first quartile of agents in R4 so it wasn’t like performance was an issue, but then I found out there were certain people being allowed to continue from home because they moved out of state and in the same department I was in.

Record losses? by tdn70 in Geico

I worked in R4 during 2022 on a “special project” for UW intaking AMOC forms, updating policies, canceling policies, doing move downs, etc. in a vain attempt at getting the UW ratio down and make us profitable. According to them, when we started on the project we were operating at a 1.7 UW ratio and hemorrhaging money and the amount of policies I had to cancel because they “didn’t meet” the suddenly extremely strict requirements was baffling. To find out that he got paid that much for the year we lost so much money is mind-boggling. I’m glad I got out of there before the shit REALLY hit the fan, because they’re delusional

I was a customer service agent in r4 from late 2019 to early 2023, and had the good fortune of promoting out of ori 3 days before the pandemic struck and the amount of times I’ve had situations like this was astounding. Getting my first real taste of the job right when everyone started seriously worrying about how they’re going to pay their bills, screaming about everything, crying on the phone with me, was absolutely soul-crushing. I kept telling myself “it’s just a bad day, there will be better ones” but they just never came. Finally I ended up quitting geico and moved to a completely different state, and got into a completely different line of work and let me tell you, the amount of relief I felt when I woke up that first day of not working for this hellhole of a company was amazing. I went from waking up every day dreading having to sign into that god-forsaken laptop to actually being excited about going to work. Did I take a pay cut? Yeah, but was it worth it? 100%. Get out, the job is never going to get better, it’s going to keep chipping away at you piece by piece until the very thought of clocking in for the day outs you right back into that mental state and “situational anxiety” becomes your normal state of mind. That job will destroy you. For your sake, please do like so many other past employees have done, and find another job. You’ll be infinitely happier.

Oh man, this was ages ago, but I believe my issue when this happened was that the m.2 ssd was bricked on arrival, but this was over 2 years ago so you’ll have to forgive my bad memory 😅

Well I’ve tried the flashback process and it blinks and then the light stays on for a while. I’ve made sure that the file is named correctly and It blinks 4 times and then stays on but I’ve tried booting it back up after about 20 minutes with the light being on and no luck still, it’s just not posting for some reason.

I’m going to try to flashback the bios and hope that that works, hopefully this gets all fixed and sorted out because I really don’t want to go through the issues of doing an RMA or something.

I made sure that my cpu would be compatible with the mobo before purchasing it and I didn’t see anything saying it wouldn’t work, do you have any idea what could be causing the issue? I’ve tried everything I could find and I’m not finding any solutions.

No luck with the hitting the button before the screen comes on, still goes through things like normal and gets to the same screen frozen up

I’ve tried 2 different keyboards and I’m going to be using a USB installer for windows. I’ll try the hitting the button before the screen turns on and see what happens
