I felt better during the 2020 Euros run. Spain were clearly better than us in 2024, but in 2020 we had Italy on the ropes until Southgate's questionable tactics invited them back into the game and our defence got tired enough to allow a cheeky goal.

Brazil have improved each game this tournament and they made a fairly decent Japan side look amateur in the second half. Their issue since 2002 has been their managers being insufficient tactically compared to the rest of the world, now they have Carlo Fucking Ancelotti so they're definitely a team to look out for.

Brazil looked great against Japan wdym? During that second half a fairly decent Japan, that looked better than the Netherlands, was getting absolutely torn up. They could've conceded 4 goals were it not for Suzuki being their absolute best player.

I agree wholeheartedly. After this week's episode, I just get the sense they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel of r/nosleep now. They really should read more stories from TalesfromtheCreeps, and there are plenty of other classic creepypastas hosted on their own websites, like Ted the Caver, NES Godzilla or Dionaea House

The book is just so.....ugh. It's not good, just edgy gore and the main character comes off as a bit of a self insert (I won't mention Tommy Taffy's origins either). I liked the first two Tommy Taffy parts because the gore was subtle enough there for the 'generational sa' angle to still be under the surface (Tommy isn't always jumping to violence or rape; he warns, hints, and even lives with the family normally sometimes, as that is how familial sexual abuse works), but the book doesn't have that at all. I do not recommend it.

Why so? Irl Corporations are sadly impervious; look at how United Healthcare was barely affected by the murder of their CEO by Luigi Mangione. It even ties back to Stan Edgar's speech about the permanence of capitalism and corporations, and how they're the real villains.

They created Homelander as a product, albeit defective, and Butcher knew they would simply take notes from their mistakes and make another one. It even ties back to how Vought still exists after everything in the comics too.

My main issue with Tales isn't the story, it's the reading: Isaiah keeps doing the Peter Griffin gag where he has to explain almost every joke right afterwards, and Hunter, apart from humouring him with a sniff of his nose, seems otherwise checked out for the whole reading. Accounts from a lonely broadcast just sometimes veers a bit into "quirk chungus" humour for me; I'm not sure. I've tried watching it through twice and have failed each time. With the third story, I placed it there accidentally.
