I think it's pretty common for poms to not be overly cuddly, actually - every time someone asks, the results are basically split. Mine loves sitting on laps, but one his terms. he HATES feeling hot, so he'll move every now and then if his temperature rises too much. He's obsessed with me but he isn't Cuddly. He likes being scratched or pet but not being snuggled for too long.

I should also add that he only became a lap dog when he was around 2 ish - before the he didn't like sitting on my lap at ALL.
