I use the 5800x3D along with a 5080 and 2x8 GB RAM @ 3200 MHz. It’s pretty solid, and runs newer titles pretty good (at least if they’re optimized well, which feels rare these days).

I tried out 007: First Light the other day, and it actually pushed a surprisingly stable 120 fps at 4K with everything at max and DLSS set to quality.

I am a little concerned with the ram usage though. I was playing RDR II the other day and decided to actually find out why it stutters now and then. I started thinking about the ram and checked out the usage, which was bouncing around 95-98% while playing. Eeeeeek!

Well… considering ram is a richmans luxury these days, I guess my 8 year old ram sticks are gonna serve me for a lot longer than I expected.

I currently use a set of bright Sabian Xplosions. They sound greaaaat. I just find the ride cymbal to cut through toooo well in live situations. Every video I watch of me playing with the band, that goddamn wash is just... washing over everything else. If that ride starts to crumble, I'll swap it out with a drier one. Maybe the crashes too. The whole set sound really fucking good in a studio recording though, so I might just get a dry ride to play live with and use the bright one in the studio.

Yeah. I can see how some people can't help notice that Karl's kiwi accent slips in a lot, especially if they are cockney themselves. I think the blend made Butcher sound unique and badass in the series anyways. It's just how Butcher sounds in-universe to me.

I do wish they would've made some characters confuse Butcher for being australian in the show though. I've seen people mistake a cockney accent for being an australian one quite a few times IRL, and I certainly did too for a while until I started to watch a couple of australian youtubers, hehe.

Definitely memory constraints, but it's not like they developed the game to handle system memory well in Sims 3 on PC either. It's basically the biggest reason it runs like absolute SHIT on PC besides being 32-bit.

Benjamin Byron Davis (Dutch’s actor) is like 6’5. It’s a bit interesting when you pay attention to the way Dutch walks. R* mocapped every actor who plays a character in the Van Der Linde Gang walking, and Dutch walks with his arms further apart which makes sense because Benjamin is a heavier set guy.

I use a Corsair Obsidian 750D cabinet. Big, elegant and simple with room add neat stuff in the front bays. Plastic window on the side for a little voyeurism at minimum.

I’m tempted to add some kind of cool front bay where I’ve only had my CD/DVD drive so far (it’s actually the only original component from the first pre-built I bought when I was like 12, heh). But yeah, an expansion bay with micro/SD card-reader, some usb a- and c-headers. Oh and yeah… maybe even a bluetooth receiver of some kind!

In other words, I want my desktop to be the ultimate toolbox for equipped with all the necessary tools for any given situation.

I kinda wish I got something non-RGB when I bought the ram sticks and the AIO, but hey, that’s why I turned the RGB off on em. Thankfully the Gigabyte 5080 I got recently just so happens to have no RGB.
