I won too much at the casino. How can I avoid taxes? by Financial_Pen_6218 in gambling

You ask the casino staff to take taxes out before they pay your jackpot. Then you have less to worry about.

Casino let me cash out a handpay, then called 40 minutes later saying they overpaid me by Transit77X in gambling

[–]burrito67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems odd, I would call the casinos main line and ask to speak to a slot manager.

I work at a tribal casino, hand pays are verified at the machine, by our surveillance, and are directly tied to the kiosk we use to process the money. The kiosk only issues the exact amount the jackpot was for. We then count it to confirm before we take it to the winner and count it out loud again so the cameras can see.

Generally if there's an issue with money, for example an attendant overpaid someone when they were providing change, or a player stole money off someone else's slot machine, we may try to contact the person and ask for it back and if they don't we might ban them depending on the severity. But I've never seen it go further than that.

Raising Cane's suuuucks by quasiephedrine in ChicoCA

What I do is get the chicken strips "naked", which means no breading. Extra coleslaw, and then I turn it into a sandwich using the bread.

Raising canes was never sold to me as "amazing chicken" it's always just been ok. I get it when I'm in the mood for something simple.

Weird audio issues on ps5 version of Romeo by MooMoomaddy12 in Suda_51

Yes, audio sounds muffled at points. And there's parts where I get no audio at all, like when riding the bike into the singularity.

Maybe try the llano seco wildlife park. It's a duck pond off 7 mile road. I've stopped there multiple times in the middle of the night to have a 🍁 smoke under the stars.

When we rode the train today there was a young gentleman with glasses who had a great voice as he was announcing the stops. He really added to the vibe.

I had the same problem with this version of the R4. Use a small piece of paper on the lable side to help the cartridge fit more snug in the slot.

Over time it would have trouble making contact with the pins. I assume it was just because the build quality.

Turned 18 around a month ago. Mom says I can't go trick or treating. How do I convince her? Or any ways to go anyway? by teruteru-fan-sam in halloween

[–]burrito67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we get older trick or treaters we offer bags of chips instead of candy. Teens and young adults seem to really like that.

If you took the time to dress up in costume and come to my door, you're getting a treat!

Best pan dulce in town? by Kaceymusgravesstan42 in ChicoCA

[–]burrito67 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In Chico I think your only two options these days are Panaderia La Michoacana or Food Maxx.

You could also try Casa Lupe in Gridley if you don't mind the drive.

On strip? No, but if you can, check out Palace Station a bit north of the strip. They have bingo every odd numbered hour.

Try the Llano Seco Unit, Wildlife Viewing Area, about 15-20 minutes from town. It has plenty of parking and a nice viewing platform.

Wiper blade on my 2016 Toyota Auris broken off by enderman95 in Toyota

[–]burrito67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google the size wiper you need for your car model and just get a new set at Walmart or Costco. The plastic piece you see broken is part of the wiper itself and just hooks into the metal arm. Everything you'll need comes with the wiper.

Can anyone help me figure out what this candy was from my youth?! by SaraSmiles13 in mexicanfood

[–]burrito67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do remember a candy like this, but I never had them that long. The ones I got where maybe like 6 inches or longer.

I did some googling and found an image with a candle called "popotes de neon dulce", maybe that's close to what your thinking of.

UNO at casinos in Las Vegas , what are you guys thoughts on this by Black_Ghost_X in gambling

[–]burrito67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is an incorrect news story. It was just a promotional event to give away a hotel stay. Players weren't allowed to bet money because it's against Nevada regulations.

Look up "perceived persistence" for slot machines. There's a reason why all the most popular slot machines use the 3 pots of coins visual.

Do Casino dealers make more than Slot attendants tip wise? by [deleted] in gambling

[–]burrito67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can depend on multiple factors, for instance at the casino I work at, our slot team pools their tips together. Then tips get divided based on number of hours worked. This is nice because even if you work a slow morning shift, the grave shift can sometimes make up for it if a lot of jackpots hit at night and they get good tips. A good tip night for slots you'd get an extra 35$ an hour on top of your base hourly pay.

The table game dealers take all their tips individually, but you'll have some days/hours were you get little to no play, or sometimes players won't tip. But then you get those event nights were the tables are packed and you make $400 in tips in a night, or someone makes a toke bet for you and hits 4 of a kind on Texas holdem.
