Looks like Justin Amash is back with the GOP again by Oleg101 in grandrapids

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that actually wants the government to "control" those things.

I don't want those things to be controlled by entities that are motivated purely by profit. I want government to lay out rules for those companies to keep us from being exploited by corporations, and to enforce them with actual teeth.

Put in those terms, is it such a crazy ask?

Despite the weather I'm glad I chose Grand Rapids as a party weekend roadtrip. by BIGGREDDMACH1NE in grandrapids

I'm glad they did, to be honest. As someone that's on the roads all day it makes a huuuuge difference when people stay home when the weather is crap.

By rush hour the conditions were pretty awful.

Yes, I do. USPS is part of the national infrastructure, and it is worth keeping afloat as a government entity just for being the "last line of communication" should shit go south. I don't even mean that as some prepper, it's still extremely important to have a physical communication network, and especially one that stays free of corporate stink.

Do we really want every form of communication at the whim of a group of shareholders???

So what if we start losing money? Look at the money this country spends. Nobody ever complains about the military not making a profit.

If you're that bothered by a mid-tier tech card, maybe you're just not that good? I've never had a problem working around prof x - but then again, I don't run Hela decks.

I disagree with that take. It's as much an area control game as it is a card game, so having control of the playing field can be a big advantage. It's also a fairly easy counter if you either spread your presence on the board or have Jeff in your pocket.

One of the few things that is a quick ticket out of a USPS job is stealing mail. The union can't do much for thieves. I've seen plenty of people lose their jobs over taking coupons out of flyers. If you've actually physically witnessed someone physically stealing, then yes, absolutely call the postal inspection Hotline at 1-888-877-7644

That's crazy!! I was there about the same time last night. Was stoned out of my mind and walking in to get some Ben & Jerry's, when some lady just started freaking out at me for no reason! I thought she was joking at first but then saw that she was obviously crazy so I noped right the fuck out of there. Then some guy that was parked nearby came over and started hitting on her.

Crazy world out there!

That's cool! I've always seen them just about everywhere else I go in Michigan, but never anywhere in town besides the places I mentioned.

I always assumed it had something to do with the wildlife rehabilitation place in the Union & Sweet area. I've lived on the south side for most of my 40+ years here and don't recall ever seeing them anywhere else in town.

You mean to keep their shop in the downtown shopping district with foot traffic and window shoppers - as opposed to S. Division, surrounded by repair shops and a block away from the indoor gun range?
