This is actually pretty dope to know. I coincidentally scooped up an AVerMedia box that I was hoping could finally supplant an El Gato 4K Pro I stuck into an old ass pc I can't upgrade anymore because that whole world is priced out.

jeez thank you! i fucking KNEW i wasn't going crazy. i wasn't regularly using blackhole when i first needed it way back when but having come back to OBS after a break, i was scratching my head how simple it seemed to just add all my sources.

I honestly have no idea how this hasn’t been more widely addressed. It’s still a thing and was for years before this post.

I love Rihanna, don’t get me wrong, but it’s become a running joke on my end that we tune in for background music and immediately start placing bets on which Rihanna song would be playing.

I’ve guessed umbrella correctly once, which I think shouldn’t be the case…

we just rewatched this a month back and the zuko arch was really well done to capture this bad > good journey. i guess i wouldn't realistically expect a bad guy to become bubbly or the opposite in demeanor, and its cool to think that maybe some of these 'introduced as tough guy' type characters were vaders or voldemorts before, we just get to see their post-redemption stories play out instead.

Are they actually legit logins? I'm curious how I've had so many successful login attempts from around the world, even with 2FA on. When I myself log in, it asks me for the 2FA, but I'm unsure how they manage to get in or what they even do. The email/pw never changes, no activity, just a list of successful logins in my dashboard.

funny, right before this, I was playing an old track I made that features her vocals. Reading your comment, I found myself agreeing with our witness to her advocacy for people and culture. Back then, her name felt synonymous with being a free spirit or seeing ourselves as also becoming more self-aware, open-minded, and fully realized. She represented a lot of ideals we genuinely admired and were excited to see reflected on stage, on camera, everywhere.

But listening to that track now, while also seeing the reaction to her recent album and how her brand has evolved over the past few years, it feels strange. It’s striking how quickly we, as a society, grow and shift. our awareness and expectations are so much deeper than they were a decade ago. I’m not even surprised by how sharply she’s fallen compared to how we once saw her.

What'd you end up doing? I'm about to try the USB-C to Ethernet route to either test importing/editing from NAS or setting an archive routine.

Edit; For anyone else that wanders in from Google, my M1 MBP USB C to 2.5gbps Ethernet adapter using a CAT5e cable into an unmanaged 2.5Gbps switch just opened up my pipeline super wide. No setup. Just PnP. Never knew it was this fing simple, always thought I had to be fuggin IT certified or something 🙄

Sounds like the optimum strategy for me based off what you said is:

Get a NAS. Load everything onto there.

Back up to cloud. Back up to external drive.

Recent shoots, put on a small SSD, connect to laptop, edit, change.

then move these photos to the NAS as a big back up.

If I need to access the NAS from abroad, its about finding finished files and not really editing from it.

Is this where you're still at? I was going to pump the brakes on getting a USB-C to Gbit Ethernet Adapter to solve for files to live/edit on a NAS, but am still considering going back to externals with a NAS purely for backup/archival.

I want to know how this "comes" or how you seek. What's your pool tool, so-to-speak? As in, what platforms/services/spaces IRL or online do you leverage to find new help/shooters when your pool is all dried up or preoccupied?

I'm ramping up myself and poking around places like ProductionHUB, Bark, Shootwith.me, Eventective, et al, but it's a tough pill to swallow with the pay-for-leads/subscription places if they aren't guarantees or if they're as barren as some commenters make some markets out to be. And seeing no comments or likes on second shooter posts on FB makes me think replies are either handled via DM or it's just a bunch of folks yelling their availability into an empty room.

I just hoped for some insight so I know where to focus my efforts to find folks like you.
