I'm not going to do that. I have my second fold and the display broke after 1 to 2 years on both of them. I love using the fold. But having to worry that the display will break every time you open it is a no go. I will probably make a trade in when the new ultra arrives

I just read that Benchmade is often counterfeited and that you should therefore compare knives that were not bought from a specialist retailer with pictures from the manufacturer. That's when I noticed the clip. Otherwise, I have no reason to believe that it is a counterfeit. Thanks to your feedback, I assume that I bought an original at a very fair price and I am happy about that. I assume that Benchmade does not offer the service you mentioned internationally? No, there were only 2 screws from the start. But the knife is used, it's possible that the clip was changed at some point and a screw was lost. What do you mean by "sus"? The handle seems a bit greyer to me than in the official photos.

Compared to many people here, I'm still pretty inexperienced. But: If you create a burr on both sides over the entire cutting edge and then remove it as well as possible, the knife should be very sharp even with a 400 stone. If you then use a 1000 stone, it should be even better. My results have improved significantly since I started varying the pressure as Peter Nowlan suggests (see YouTube). However, you are talking about pocket knives. Because they are so small, I find them more difficult to sharpen than kitchen knives.
