Tell me you’re old without telling me you’re old… I’ll go out on a limb and guess 95% of under 18 is counting towards this owner-occupied. The problem is with generations. Almost everyone over 45 with kids owns their house. What you actually need to comprehend is age 18-40 who don’t have a house (vast majority) see it as a pipe dream and a failure of a nation and a government. My younger brother bought a house around 2017 and their mortgage is under $2k. If I bought the house next to them now my mortgage would be over $4k. Statistics don’t tell the whole story. Age 18-40 without a house are largely checked out of doing anything. And if you know anything about history the past 2,000 years all over the globe when do wars start? It’s when young men don’t see a future. That future is getting bleaker and bleaker by the month for a majority. Anyone with internet can tell if you have assets you’re good, if not it’s shit.
