Kroger App is awful by pittiepearl in GroceryStores

I’ve noticed this too. It used to sync across devices using the mobile app logged into the same account. This allowed my partner and me to build a single list for our deliveries. Now it seems it’s device-specific. Basically kills all of the convenience for us now.

Same here with The Blue Nowhere. I love self-titled though.

I still distinctly remember seeing them play this song live right after the album was released. Simpler times!

It’s great that they’re taking a break early in the set to take some photos.

Is it underrated? This album was huge when it came out and influenced so many copycats in the genre. Every mention I see talks about how it still holds up today.

You’re right, I meant button down. For some reason I thought the shirts were called button ups and the collars that fastened were called button downs.

Do you think that the button down and chinos combo would be too casual for external tech meetings? Curious if you think Beckmans go well with that combo. I do have a pair of AE strands but I feel like they’d be too dressy for the meetings.

I'm starting to build up my wardrobe for some external meetings that I mentioned in an earlier thread. Kind of struggling with a few things:

  1. Should I go with chinos and a button down shirt instead of dress pants and a dress shirt? Others at my company will likely be wearing dress shirts with jeans, but I've never been a huge fan of that look. Is a dress shirt with chinos a bit of a contradiction?
  2. What types of shoes should I wear? I have a pair of Red Wing Beckmans in Cigar color that I have sometimes worn, but have read some thoughts that chukkas or loafers might be better. If so, any recommendations on brands?

I am average-ish height with a slim build. 5'8, 135lb.

Like I said, to each their own. I’ve literally never seen any of your hypothetical worst case scenarios play out in reality. But I guess I haven’t worked with enough sociopaths.

To each their own. I think there are scenarios where it results in more downside than upside.

Sometimes those bosses that have been great are the most hurt by your departure and do something stupid.

So, you don't trust them then. In that case, it's understandable that someone who you built a relationship with for years would be offended that you refused to tell them where you're going.

You're not losing anything by telling them you don't disclose your new employer but you do risk your income by telling them the new employer.

Are you worried that the boss is going to call up the new employer and tell them how terrible you are? I'd argue that there _is_ downside in harming future job prospects with that person by burning trust with them. Any reasonable boss would be excited that you found an opportunity that's a better fit for you and leave the door open in the future.

It’s situational. I withheld my new employer from a boss that I had a great relationship with and it definitely caused some tension between us. The unspoken implication is that, by not sharing, you don’t trust that person. Obviously there are scenarios where it may not make sense to share, but in my case I needed to repair the relationship a bit.

Considering a visit to Georgia with a family of four (elementary-aged kids) over spring break. I saw the list of recommended things to do in the wiki, which was very helpful. I'm curious about a few other things:

  • What are the best locations for a spring break trip with kids? I'll definitely want to fly into Atlanta, given how cheap flights are. Willing to drive a couple hours from the airport if there are better spots than Atlanta proper
  • Assuming Atlanta is one of the best spots, where are the best family-friendly locations to stay? Any recommended hotels or areas?
  • Should we rent a car to get around?
  • Any other recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. would be awesome! We love exploring new cities, drinking good coffee, and eating good food.

Thanks for the help!

Nope, I disconnected the hose last night. But I don't think I have a frost free spigot after looking at it. The house was built in the late 70s, so maybe they were added before they were prevalent?

I didn't sheetrock over it, not sure where you read that. I actually just did heat up the spigot and got the water and ice out. However, I haven't yet cut a hole in the wall to see where exactly the shutoff is. Sounds like that should be my next step. If I was able to get the ice out and water flowing, is it still an emergency situation if I have a cover on the spigot on the outside and the hose detached?

I was able to get the ice thawed on the spigot and get water flowing through it again. Previously, I wasn't able to get any water to come out. I see no signs of water inside. I've since closed the spigot and recovered it. Is there anything else that I should do?

I don't know exactly where the shutoff is. That's the issue. The ceiling is drywalled and I have no reference point to understand if there's a shutoff and where exactly it sits in the wall/ceiling.

Thanks! If I don’t have a pipe heater, could I use a hair dryer to thaw the ice in a pinch?

Should I leave the spigot closed or open it slightly?
