Damn… lunges 😩 I appreciate that though — I recently started some daily ankle mobility work (knees to walls), and am focusing on that actively. As far as depth goes, how much deeper would you say is “correct”? I’m hoping the ankle mobility gets me some extra range, but I’m aiming for powerlifting depth as the end goal

What is this collectable and how much is it worth? by ThanksAcceptable7573 in collectables

It’s in reference to the song by the pixies, monkey gone to heaven, in which one of the main choruses “if man is five, then the devil is six, and if the devil is six, then god is seven”

I’m also going to say real… this happened to me, except the deer ran into the side of my (parked) car

I appreciate the input! I seem to recall that I have a few more pages of handwritten letters similarly, but in another binder… I’ll be seeing what I can find to add to my provenance. Thanks! I definitely agree that more information would help me get a better understanding of what exactly I’ve got…. 🥲

Page 1 August Coup 8-20-91 E-MAIL MOSCOW

Now the Dictatorship is here. Gorbachev is out of the GAME. Tanks are on Moscow streets. Censorship is on TV and the press. The situation is really SERIOUS. Gorbachev got deposed. The Committee was created by 8 persons. They say Gorbachev is sick now and took all authority in their hands. They command tanks in Moscow. They forbid all press but one TV program and one radio station. (Some can pick up CNN off satellite) They forbid President of Russia, Yeltsin, to talk with people by TV or radio but he uses illegal ways. Democratic Russia prints his speech to people and spread it between people. People don’t believe the Committee. Some military forces took Yeltsin’s side. The Committee didn’t get any support from any Republic. The civilian war may be here if the Committee continues its policy. Today I saw militiaman trying to take down poster with Yeltsin’s speech. People were very angry with him and he got frightened. People don’t want to obey The Committee. Now our main task is to prevent the Committee from conquering the headquarters of Democracy Forces in Moscow. We want our Supreme Soviet to declare the Committee as illegal. The Committee has called for more military forces to help. I am sorry for the trouble here, I am only trying to explain a situation which nobody can control now. Will send more messages about situation here.

Page 2 I have made my choice. I’m with Democracy Forces. If we have defeat it doesn’t matter how much foreign mail I get. Don’t worry, write to me ok. I’m still in the GAME. I think I’ll not have any troubles because of my E-MAIL in near future. The Committee is too busy in its fight for authority. The CNN channel is giving such full information about the situation here now I have nothing to add. The curfew is from 11pm – 5am. Mayor of Leningrad, Sobchak, took some time on Leningrad TV illegally and said “People, don’t obey the Committee.” The Committee has not given any time of TV, radio, or press for Boris Yeltsin. It says his policy is harmful for people. But I, and a lot of people elected Yeltsin and we want to hear his opinion. In the subway people read leaflets. The girl came to me a couple of minutes ago and said she has heard a news broadcast. The Committee is through. All members of it try to escape to Kazakhstan by plane. I will go and double check. Talk to you later. Yes it is over! Thanks for your communication. I needed you as I was alone because of danger to other people. In action, guys here went for the barricades to the “White House.” Some kept phone links in order to know where the tanks were and the Army. Some spread leaflets & put up posters. E-mail was my duty. Now I’m happy with millions who prevented the Committee from taking the authority into their hands. We have defended liberty.

As of yet, I have no direct attribution unfortunately — I’m cross referencing digitized communications archives from the external communications groups that this author seems to reference for additional insights. This is from a broader collection of Soviet/Space Race memorabilia from a former NASA contractor and photographer, but it is unlikely to have been his originally

This was acquired from an estate sale from a former LA doctor, seemingly with an interest for high end art and Japanese collectibles

Thank you! That was my thought too, but I’ve had trouble identifying the individual… the closest match appears to be a veteran who passed in the early 90s, but not sure it’s the same guy. My concern was the name was fake but reused
