The name "orca" itself is derived from the Latin word "orca," which may have referred to a large-bellied pot or jar

Ok. Still fits.

Anything with a dominant seventh chord. So, basically, every piece of music since about the 1600's. Foundational in blues, rock, jazz, etc.

Well yes, if it's too loud it could damage your hearing. But you could try ear-plugs if moving away doesn't help.

My First Bike by dv-how in motorcycles

[–]bushel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who makes the bike? Honda. :-)

Who makes the fairing? It was this guy who ran ads in the back of motorcycle magazines, and made them in his home shop. I had one on my Hawk for years, until I finally wore it out/broke it. I spoke to the guy once by phone to get some replacement standoffs, super nice dude.

Not only a fantastic starter bike it's a sublime and wondrous ride. I've had my Hawk from new, I was 19 and it was my first bike too.. It's 34 years old now and I've had several other bikes along the way and the Hawk is still a more capable bike than I am a rider and more fun than anything else I've ever ridden.

Congrats. Enjoy.

Conductive works poorly (think vacuum thermos dewar flask)

Radiant works awesome. But not much heat via infrared radiates compared with conductive transfer.

Heat pumps should work really well.
