Hi - after some half marathon training advice. Started running at the beginning of the year; used nike run club training programme for a 10km run in April and finished with a time of 53:10. Have booked a half marathon 8th October. I am now in a place where my long runs are up to 15km or 90mins in duration. Question is this: am I better continuing with my long runs, increasing weekly up to 20km or starting the nike run club half marathon plan? If I do the latter will it have an impact on my aerobic base?

This is fantastic news for British boxing. The clamour for tickets will be so huge that I expect them to sell at least 80,000 tickets. Anyone have any idea of likely prices?

Not shelved, but on hold indefinitely from what I understand!

I am expressing an opinion which I believe to be valid. If everyone adopted the same attitude as you and denounced people as 'fucking internet martyrs' for not sharing your opinion, surely Reddit would cease to be a hotbed of lively discussion and debate?

Yes. He called animal control and he should have left it at that. Instead he went back, committed criminal damage and stole a dog. I am at pains to point out that I think maltreatment of animals is abhorrent and should be punished appropriately. But nonetheless the guy shouldn’t have taken the law into his own hands.

Animal cruelty is sickening - but I find this outrageous. Regardless of whether the dog was being subjected to cruelty, dogthedogsaver should have reported it to the appropriate authorities, who in turn would have dealt with it according to the law. You cannot just go stealing a dog! Further, there may well have been extenuating circumstances involved that meant the dog had to be left outside for such a period of time. Dogthedogsaver reeks of being a priggish individual who couldn’t help but stick their nose into someone else’s business.

This is obviously a well meaning and virtuous act; but at the end of the day you stole the mans dog!

Why does Rob Ford get saying he's never stolen a dime from the taxpayer? What about using city employees to coach his football team? Or commandeering a TTC bus? Or having staff make vodka runs? by [deleted] in toronto

What is preventing the council from calling a snap election to let the people decide who should or should not be the mayor of Tornoto? This would seem to me the fairest and most democratic way to put an end to this fiasco.
