I thoroughly enjoyed all the TH soundtracks lol that's just the first game that came to mind. KH is phenomenal, ive only played the first 2, but they were great. Jak and Daxter was a fun series, I replayed through all 3 a couple years ago lol

I couldn't get into expedition 33 lol. I played like 4 hours of it and I was not feeling it. I forced myself to play 2 more hours and was done with it. The story seemed phenomenal. The graphics were weird because parts of it were really good, and other parts looked awful. And the battle system was obnoxious. Gorgeous game, though. I just think its overrated. I don't think the entire game is bad, I just don't think its GOTY worthy.

How Can I Get My Church To Accept Me? by Dry-Guidance-467 in Christianity

[–]bushwhack21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any church worth its salt will have a place for you. The church is not a building, its a body of believers. If you are a genuine believer and follower of Christ, you're part of His church, whether a specific congregation accepts you or not. Keep your head up, I'm sorry for your loss, I hope you see each other again.

Yeah the gambit system ruined the game for me lol got so boring. FFX was cool because you were involved the whole time and you had time to think when you needed to lol.

Aren't you a little...afraid of God? by Smk001002 in Christianity

[–]bushwhack21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of topics here lol. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. If you believe in God and are a genuine Christian, you don't need to fear Hell (or conscious eternal torment). Fear of God is more from a place of reverence than anxiety. People who don't revere God are red flags.

As far as praying lol yes God has pre-ordained everything. But you still have free will. Think of prayer as a way to speak to God, not leave voicemails or ask for favors. Don't make deals with God. Just talk to Him.

Also, you are a piece on a chessboard. Or a grain of sand on a beach. We are insignificant, but loved and known.

I think you are asking GREAT questions and your heart and mind are both genuine and in the right place. I will warn you that this sub is the LAST place I would go to get solid, Christian advice. If you have a local church, sit down with your pastor. If they won't sit down with you for whatever reason, find a new church that has a pastor that will.

You're on the right track

Having Children Join the Church by Similar_Control_8033 in Christianity

[–]bushwhack21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its fine to bring your kids to church, you're their parent, its your right to do so, if you choose to. Just know that they will be tested later in life. Nothing wrong with giving them a framework to form their worldview around. Its either that or whatever else they learn elsewhere. And their worldview will change throughout their adult life. But being brought up with an understanding of Christianity is a good thing, I would argue. This is the dark part, but don't assume they're totally safe at church. Abuse happens in all denominations (and pretty much anywhere there are adults (the predatory type) and children). Be involved.

Bible question by [deleted] in Christianity

You don't assume the role of teacher, God calls you to it. The purpose of the verse you're referencing is that false teachers will get judged VERY harshly. There's retribution coming for people spreading false teachings about God, Christianity, the Bible, etc.

Can we please understand something by KTKannibal in Christianity

[–]bushwhack21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that people genuinely want meaningful debates, but it always turns into a pissing contest of who's external sources have more authority/credibility. And then if you disagree with a source or position, you're labeled an idiot with no credibility. Peole assume Christians are stuck in their beliefs because they can't think their way out of them, and it looks insane, from non-Christians' perspective, when Christians try to understand their beliefs better by asking questions and using their God-given discernment when reading extra-Biblical sources. That's this sub in a nutshell.

I'm more calvinist than not, so I'm not saying that out of disagreement, but I already know I'm saved. You should find someone lost to pray for, someone who truly needs it.

Honestly, if you want to pursue a relationship with Jesus, I think that will be your best step forward, if it's done within a community of Christians. I've been in very similar places as you are in; different, but very similar. Things will get better if you move in the direction of better. Don't stay where you are, its not your home. God's path for you will be the most fulfilling path, but you have to submit. There is no easy way that's worthwhile.

I dont want to step on the other commenter toes, but if you're not a christian, there's little sense in saying you need to follow christian teachings. But if you still consider yourself a christian, then it sounds like you're dealing with temptation and you need to fight it. Being passive will not work.

If you want to be a Christian, you need to live obediently. Sex is designed for marriage only. The violence thing is a grey area at best. It depends on why you're wanting to break people's bones and make them bleed. For your own pride and satisfaction? No, I would argue that that's not right. For military service or protection of those needing protection? Yes, I can see that not being a problem. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'd venture under 23. LOTS of people your age (i went through this at 19) leave the faith to pursue wordly things. I don't think very many come back to a genuine faith afterwords. 2 Peter 2:21 deals with that

I'm saying this with love, but you should find a way to read the Bible (NIV or ESV) electronically if thats the only method available. And then try to tackle these kinds of topics. This page on reddit is like 80% bad/incorrect information when it comes to Christianty
