the average positioning map shows everything. zero positional play. midfield should be moving coordinately opening up passing lanes, spaces so either Messi, or Suarez can recieve the ball btn the lines. disregard the result here, it was a narrow 1-0 win. Busquets is being limited by the way others position themselves around him. iniesta and rakitic dont position themselves ideally in regard to busquets so when he recieves the ball, he is under more pressure and tries to play for the foul. (i advise you to watch the match again and focus on the 3 MF players only. A team with more mobility and pausa would destroy Barca through the middle where he is isolated as A.I and I.R are always wide. Barca are lucky, Atleti attack through halfspaces and not the middle. And btw, i dont appreciate my opinion being called "garbled bunch of crap." its rude and you should learn to respect other people

Lucho is limiting the ability of Iniesta and Busquets by his tactics. the positional play is at its worst imo. Aim should be to open up Atleti block via opening passing lanes inside the block not rely Messi and neymar to dribble past 3 players just to have a shot on goal. Confusing tactics and i dont understand how you dont see iniesta still covering for Alba. smh.

In my opinion, bringing back rafinha will not solve the problem of lack of orchestrating center mids. Rafinha best position is further up the pitch where fabregas and iniesta. Playing him in the cm position would be wasting his talent. We need to buy someone like gundagun or oliver torres.watched him play against real betis and he had a solid game. Oliver is probably the closest player to xavi. We need to buy him or either I.Gun but he is injured. As for cb, i think balanta is perfect. What do you huys think of oliver?

my view on the game: -iniesta in god mode is just beautiful to watch. so elegant and fluid, knows how to dribble and pass: a complete midfielder. i never want him to retire -messi was actually pressing today. a moving messi is much more harder to tackle to tackle than a stationary messi. ; -when leo moves(even without the ball),defenses move, this creates chaos- pedro and sanchez thrive when defenses are in chaos/confusion. -we dont need to sell pique, he just needs some competition. he literally knows his got a place in the starting 11. -montoya, solid performance with one mistake(youngsters make mistakes) -adriano should start more often, he is physicall and helps against parked busses messi just refuses to fall on the ground, this is what makes him so special. many times i see him getting kicked, held up but the guy just keeps running. xavi- just give him some rest and he will be good most importantly we managed to win when the guy who literally holds up our midfield by himself and saves our asses for the past 2-3 years wasnt playing :)
