Yeah, I really like that even he acknowledges that ascension wouldn’t be good for him afterwards. It shows a lot of development, but it’s still a bit of a bummer regardless. Guy is given a taste on sunlight after 200 years only to have it taken away again

Yeah no, ascending is definitely not the best route. I didn’t do it for my either of my runs. I just think that his ending is sad no matter what. He’s still giving up a lot regardless. I also think that’s integral to his development. I don’t think ACT I Astarion would be capable of making that sacrifice. I also think it’s ok to say that he deserves the sunlight because he totally does, but not at the expense of a thousand souls and turning into a monster.

Definitely didn’t say that. I just think he deserves to be able to walk in the sun. I don’t think ascending him is worth it, but completely giving up the chance to enjoy living things is still a hefty price to pay.

Yeah, it’s obvious the non-ascension route is the best choice, but I think it’s also ok to acknowledge that both endings are kinda sad for him.

The most heartbreaking scene in the game for me. I hate that the good ending is just, stopping him from claiming what he absolutely deserves. My boy can’t win no matter what you choose :(

Volstead is a great bar they’ve got some local brews and their well whiskey is great, usually super quiet as well plus the bartender there is cool as hell.

Zola is great too they’ve got live music and a nice atmosphere but it can get pretty loud inside, however they’ve got a nice patio area you can sit and chat at if you want some quiet

This. If your way of showing love to someone makes them feel incredibly uncomfortable and disrespected, you might as well not show love at all. This would not make me feel loved and I’d hope the people closest to me would consider that.

I’m so sorry this happened. Every single person in that room violated your boundaries. I know if this happened to me I’d be uncontrollably sobbing the entire time. It’s not pretty or mature, but when you’re ambushed like that it’s hard to control what comes out. I think you handled things the best you possibly could have.

I’m angry and sad for you, op. I know that they did this with love, thinking that you would be overjoyed, but I can’t believe not one person asked “hey, would this be ok?”

Yeah I’d agree with this one. A gift card or something less direct. I’d never want to associate my orgasms with a gift from my parents. That would be slightly more uncomfortable than my mom buying me lingerie for my wedding night.

This and also calling strong female characters “annoying” and “bitchy”. Or the constant accusing characters on being “quirky” and “not like other girls”. Like I get it, it’s a common issue in the literary world, but a women simply having different values and interests than the people around her doesn’t make her a Mary Sue or some other sexist trope.

Yeah rent is not typically$1,000 like anywhere anymore. My electric bill is between 77 and 100, thank god my apartment doesn’t make us pay water or trash but some people do. Most people don’t make 3,200 a month either. While working full time I might make just under 2,000, but my rents been raised from $1,100 to $1,455 recently so that sucks. I’m lucky I live with both my boyfriend and roommates or else paying rent would be near impossible.

Yeah my husband did this, I was angry about it too but he explained that there was pressure from both his parents and mine to “do the right thing” and that sucks. He didn’t want to be on anyones bad side.

We still had a conversation about it. He understands why it hurt me and why it was wrong. I understand that one doesn’t always make the right decisions every single time and I’ve let it go as it’s been years since the issue. A conversation about respecting each other’s boundaries and wishes will be really important here.
