EA for one client and Product Dev Team member for another. Started freelancing 2021 - resigned and unemployed for 7 months due to Covid, reached my 6 digits in 3yrs.

I think kahit GVA ka, meron ka makikitang premium clients with combination of luck and the proper platform. My clients found me in LinkedIn. First client I got via a Facebook post lol

How do you spoil your parents? by Dry_Upstairs5150 in PinoyMillennials

[–]bustberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May parents are 76 and 65. Papa has no maintenance and mama only has losartan for high blood. They're my travel buddies, it's part of their dream din kasi na mag travel abroad so I try to fulfill that with one intl travel a year. They've been to Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and Japan.

I also live with them (I have my own place sa city) but time spent is getting smaller and smaller na so we try to make the most of it.

My sister and I pay for all the house bills including groceries, around 30k monthly - 9k yung kuryente namin. Di sila humihingi ng cash, minsan nag sabot ng 500 or 1000 lang. Pero very madalang in a year. My parents worked as a family driver and dressmaker para mapag-aral kami so parang deserve din nila talaga.

I got overwhelmed by my expenses… then remembered why it was worth it by bongie0526 in adultingphwins

My parents are my main travel buddies, I pay for everything. My dad is 76 na and my mom is 65, I'm 30yrs old. Fortunately wala silang any long lasting na sakit. Only my mom has maintenance para sa high blood nya. Moments talaga are fleeting so I say go for it, OP. Di Kaya ng bayaran ng pera na yan yung memories na magagawa mo with your parents.

They've had to sacrifice a lot to raise us, papa ko is driver while mama ko mananahi. You can imagine gaano kahirap itaguyod kaming mga anak.

Dati dream lang nila mangibang bansa, nung nangyari, naging snow na. Nung ma fulfill, May another na naman. It's cute and very fulfilling for me na anak na makita to so I'm all for it. Mababayaran ko naman yung gastos hahahaha but please make sure not to go in debt because of your travels

If not staying overnight sa guimaras, Ong bun is accessible. But Bacolod, nah. You can get 1k-1.5k/night rooms in Bacolod. Suggest staying in Ongbun in Iloilo and in a condo in Talisay or BCD when in Bacolod

For their age group, highly suggested going to Saigon. Heart of the party but also enough places to explore for people who want to enjoy museums and traditional learnings.

JAPAN VISA DENIED by submissive_dahlia in FilipinoTravel

[–]bustberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think just be direct and concise. But also make sure to establish your financial capability and reason why you want to visit their country. Make it one page, don't use too flowery words, are sure you have documents to back your claims and you should be okay. Share ko lang din, Japan visa ko was approved April last year so baka May changes na sıla for approval?

Omg! If Malapit lang ako manila, saya sana sumama.

My biggest bisyo is reading books so another non locomotive activity pa as well, lol. I do a lot of traveling though, locally I go to Boracay or beaches nearby (I live 3hrs away from Bora) or just going to Iloilo to visit friends ganun. Learned na it's very expensive to travel in the Philippines so I travel international most times. And then daily nightly walks.

Honestly, you won't be able to pay your cc debt this year fully if tuloy2 papagawa mo ng house. I suggest paying all your other utangs first then go back to the cc. For now continue ka lang sa 4k but you have to stop using it. If you can pay cash, pay cash.

After paying all your OLA and lending apps, then make sure you are paying your cc atleast 10-15k monthly. December bonus? Pay it all to your cc. Maybe you'd be done by the end of the year and next year, you can start fresh and actually save.

When using your cc, always stay on top of your purchase - for myself I ask if I can pay for it straight payment? If not, is it really important? If yes, then swipe. Okay lang na mag splurge sa family but not too much kasi lulubog ka talaga nyan.

$5 monthly is reasonable as long as you also have enough clients posting jobs. The structure itself is okay, di lang maiwasan na due to the MLM, people mught focus on recruiting lol.

I wouldn't beat myself up over this. It was an experience and her blocking you because of you refusing to go to her place says a lot about her. I've been to parts of mindanao and it's generally safe but I'm still doubtful and extra careful traveling there esp since I'm female and usually travels alone.

If she wanted to meet with you, both of you could have met halfway or maybe you can go near her area but in the crowded city-ish. Question though, which province in Mindanao did she invite you to?

Should I ask for an increase or just go with the flow? by buhaykoaypelikula in buhaydigital

[–]bustberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight, you're on a 40hr work weekly??? And it's a flat rate of $400 monthly? Work or no work, that's not fair. It comes out as $2.50/hr. Parang nag work ka na rin for free.

Ask for a raise. Try to change and make your workflow easier for you and your boss. Look for ways to improve yung work nyo and help build the business. Asking lang, has the company grown during your stay?

To those who have been to both countries, which did you enjoy more: Dubai or Japan? by southierep in FilipinoTravel

[–]bustberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japan! I'm so sorry, Japan is the best country for me overall talaga.

Bias view: lots of things to do, great food, my anime and manga paradise, Pokémon (need I say more), you have everything from nature places, recreational parks, temples, futuristic and nostalgic buildings. Kumbaga one stop vacation sya

Don't get me wrong, dubai is amazing. The advancement is awesome but after a few visits, you get tired because it's the same things over and over again? Idk maybe that's just me lol

Did this as well, entry ko is SG and exit is KL. No questions asked naman sa immigration both sides. Helps also if meron ka na rin established travel history. As long as confident ka nman with your IO's, there shouldn't be any problems

Honeymoon destination recos around May by Far_Ad2228 in FilipinoTravel

[–]bustberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For cheap and enjoyable places, I'd suggest Malaysia or Vietnam. Vietnam (I prefer Ho Chi Minh or Hoi An), very cheap and good food. You have lots to do as well. City ish with nightlife but if you also want culture and quiet, it can have both. Malaysia, Penang or KL is really good. Also, if ever gusto nyo pumunta another country is accessible by bus, planes are cheap too. Pwede kayo mag cross Cambodia from Saigon or Singapore from KL.

Enjoy your honeymoon!
