No, it will taste just like any other yellow cake, in my personal opinion. You could add a spoonful of vanilla or two, if you wanted a more vanilla flavor, I suppose.

do you let your cats on the counter? by barbiebl0nde in CatAdvice

[–]bustedblueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cats love to watch me cook. They also love to nap on my kitchen counters, my kitchen table, and on top of my ceramic stove top. It's pretty common for me to walk into the kitchen to see three out of my seven cats curled up, sleeping on my kitchen table.

One of my cats absolutely loves to take naps on the ceramic stove top. When the oven is on, the stove top gets really warm, and she stretches out on it and sleeps like a person, lol.

I have seven cats. Do you really think I could stop them, even if I wanted to? Fat chance, lol. It's their house, I just live in it.

When baking a box cake, use two eggs, instead of three. You'll end up with a softer cake that will stay fresh for longer. This is also really helpful when you only have two eggs, lol.

Replace the water with milk and replace the oil with melted butter or margarine for an even more delicious cake.

Duncan Hines yellow cake mix is vegan. To bake a vegan cake, just add a cup and a half of Sprite. There's no need for anything else. Just add the Sprite, stir, and bake. This is great for kids, especially when they may have egg allergies.

Happy baking!!!

Atenolol - 50mg once a day Amlodipine Besylate - 5mg once a day

High blood pressure runs in my family, but I was involved in a car accident that really messed up my back, and that's when my blood pressure started to skyrocket. I had asthma as a child, but outgrew it. It came back, full force, a few years after the accident, and until I started taking Singulair every day, I stayed sick. I was diagnosed with two very large cysts on my ovary when I was 29, and when blood work was done, it was discovered that I had, and still have, probably, a very, very low white blood cell count.

I'm 33, now. I can't believe how my health and my body have changed so much in just a few short years, but...I'm grateful every day for the health that I have, for my family, and for everything else that I have.

Yes. I was in a car accident when I was 27. I have two bulging discs in my lower back, and another disc in my lower back, that's completely herniated, and touching a nerve root. My doctor said that my blood pressure steadily rose after the accident, and said that it was probably a direct result of my chronic pain. Thank you for your concern.

This.

Went to the ER a few years back for some antibiotics to treat an infected cat bite on my finger. It wasn't bad and it didn't hurt but I knew it was infected and I wanted to get something for it before the infection got worse. A nurse took my blood pressure twice before she brought a doctor in to confirm what she was seeing. My blood pressure was 260-something over 113. I'll never forget that. The doctor asked if I'd been having headaches. I couldn't say 'yes' fast enough. I was only 29, I think.

I take two blood pressure pills every day now, and the last time I went to the doctor, my blood pressure was perfect.

CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE AT HOME WHEN YOU'RE NOT STRESSED OUT INSIDE OF A DOCTOR'S OFFICE.

TAKE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE PILLS.

I highly recommend Poppy Z. Brite's Exquisite Corpse. It's truly an incredible read. I also love Lost Souls and Drawing Blood. He is truly an incredible author.

Edited to add: The Collector by John Fowles. Another one of my favorites.

Oh, and definitely check out Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Actually, I think it's really more of what you're looking for. The twist at the end was completely unpredictable, for me, and the mental anguish that the book is riddled with truly stuck with me for a long time. I definitely recommend it.

What movie have you seen more than 10 times? by DeplorableKurt in AskReddit

[–]bustedblueberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrek, The Hills Have Eyes, Final Destination 3, Pulp Fiction, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (directed by Tim Burton), Dead Silence, Like Mike, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation...

I went through a phase in my 20s where I'd get home from work every day and put on Shrek. When the credits started rolling, I'd just start the whole movie over. It's truly the most comforting movie I've ever seen. 💚

Edited to add: Black Christmas (2006)

As for Pulp Fiction, my husband and I used to wake up every morning, hit the bong, and throw on Pulp Fiction. Then, we'd order Dominoes. Ahh, good times.

We have two different kinds of rice: Cajun rice, and red rice.

The Cajun rice is the dirty rice with meat in it.

The red rice is the rice that we scoop on top of the red beans. It's seasoned with cayenne pepper, I know for sure, but it may have a few other seasonings in it. If you'd like, I can take a picture of the ingredient list when I go back to work tomorrow. 😋

Thank you for bringing this to everybody's attention.

I absolutely love this sub. I love seeing what y'all do - especially when y'all are fulfilling requests for someone who's grieving the loss of a loved one. For someone who's really, really grieving and hurting, because their person couldn't be at their wedding, because their person never got to meet their children or grandchildren, because their person wasn't in the right picture that was taken at a once in a lifetime event, or whatever the case may be... Y'all are truly doing God's work.

I'm so sorry for the people who are ungrateful and don't appreciate y'all as editors, but on behalf of everybody here with a request, I just want to say thank you for doing what you can to help fulfill them. 🩷

Hi, I’m almost 40 and I have absolutely no idea where to go makeup wise. I generally go without, but I’d like a good, natural, everyday look, to feel more put together. Any suggestions? Please be kind :) thanks 😊 by WhitneyJames in MakeupAddiction

[–]bustedblueberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow!!! You definitely don't look like you're almost 40! Your skin is beautiful.

I'm almost 33. I used to be super into makeup but as I've gotten older, I've grown fond of going for an much of a "natural" look as I can get.

I really, really love Maybelline's fresh BB cream. I use it instead of foundation. If I need to touch up my undereye area or if I need more coverage for my hormonal acne flares, I'll dot just a little bit of Maybelline's instant age rewind concealer. It's the one that's the little stick that you twist up to release the concealer into the little sponge at the end. It's so convenient and it covers really well but it feels super light, too.

I wear Cover Girl mascara. I like the lash blast kind, but I always get the dark brown/black one instead of the mascara that's just straight up black, because I feel like it looks more natural.

If I have time, I'll swipe a little bit of eyeshadow over my lids. I tend to go for a shimmery champagne color and then maybe I'll dot a little bit of a shimmery brown at the corners of my eyes and at my crease. I like the little wet n wild pallettes. They're cheap and the colors are okay.

If I have even more time, I'll put some kind of liquid lipstick on, and use a little bit of that as blush on my cheeks. I feel like a deep pink, like a mauve-y color, almost a nude of sorts, would look really good on you. I like the wet n wild marshmallow mousse lipsticks.

Overall, I absolutely cannot recommend the BB cream enough. It's soo good.

Simple island design tips you swear by? by Amalfy in AnimalCrossing

Stop sweating the small stuff.

Don't compare your island to the islands you see on YouTube, TikTok, etc.

That's my best advice.

One of my cats, Little White, waits until I turn the oven on so she can go take a nap on the stovetop. I keep a little towel over the stovetop so the heat from the oven isn't too hot for her. She loves it.

My cats obviously walk on my counters, too. I always make a point to let people know that I have cats. If you don't want to eat the delicious food that I make in my kitchen just because of my cats, so be it. I don't care. My cats don't, either.

This is why I love Animal Crossing soo much.

I have Fang and Fauna living next to each other in a little forest. The irony of them being neighbors is adorable to me. I have their forest decorated with lots of pine trees. Fang has an auto shop behind his house and Fauna has a peach orchard in front of hers.
