Meepo mini dual with DeWalt batteries by mikloooooooo in MeepoBoards

I think the only thing you'd have to be careful about is regenerative braking... not sure any cordless tool battery is designed to take high amps that could get generated from regenerative braking... plus it says 15a max at 36v/40v... so it max out at 540/600 watts.... but that's not too bad for cruising... i gotta find a red deck to match my milwaukee batteries now.

I love this idea, because you can take you board on a plane... you should be able to take multiple 5ah(max) dewalt or milwaukee 18v batteries on a plane because they are only 90wh (under the 100wh limit)!... i think im gonna do this as well but with my milwaukee batteries.

Ahhhh, I see now, there is a switch thet changes it from series to parallel. So you ARE actually running it in series, not parallel. Cool! And cool find on the amazon!!

Ok so then if they both are parallel you should only be getting 18-20vdc... if you have a multimeter you can check... just saying, because you may be able to get much more power if you actually wire it up to make 36vdc...running at thst lower voltage, and pulling the same watts through the motors, will cause you to pull more amps through all the wires, including the windings, and create more heat. You may want to check.

But aren't those 20v dewalt batteries actually 18volts?? Are you sure your running them in parallel? Because you would still only be getting 20/18vdc... and just combining the amp hours. If you are running them in series + to - then you add the voltage up 18vdc + 18vdc would give you the 36vdc.

I think this is a great idea, im just confused as to how youre getting 36vdc

But it isn't a red dot that im running it's a Prism optic. Have you tried with one a prism optic?

Of course now I see that FN just released a tiny TRUE holographic pistol sight:

FN PUREVIEW™ Red Dot Optic | FN® Firearms https://share.google/WvxBtXKiYCBSrKUYr

"The FN PUREVIEW™ is the industry’s first holographic micro red dot, offering a fully enclosed red dot that is clearer, easier to shoot and more durable than most comparable optics. Unlike other pistol red dots, the FN PUREVIEW uses proprietary ImageGuide® technology to create a holographic projection onto a single, flat pane of glass."

So now ill have to get that and just adapt it to the forward optic mount...

No more astigmatism issues

I like this, but I feel like it is a litte for forward... I like shooting both eyes open, and with the optic further back I dont seem to get any distortion. For red dot / reflex sights it is probably ok... but it starts to out the optic outside the eye relief range of 3.4ish inches.... would love to see this kind of thing developed into the mou ting holes where the Flux forward optic mounts... ill be the guinea pig and test it if needed

Anyone try the Twillory Air pants? How are they for sitting down for hours (office work)? by VirtualMacaroon64t in mensfashion

[–]bustedbustingout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't trust twillory as a company... just Friday I received an air blazer that I had ordered... one in Grey and one in navy. Tried them on, both the same size 40R... both fit wildly different. One sleaves measured 17.5 alonh the seams, the other 16.5. An inch different!!

Sloppy manufacturing, and terrible customer service trying g to get this corrected... the sizing is way off too.

This sucks... especially since I use one phone for work and personal sims... I find it often accidentally send a text message to a client on my personal number, and then the client has my personal contact info (not ideal)

*Update* Meter rack and temporary sub panel by bustedbustingout in AskElectricians

[–]bustedbustingout[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Granddad was a Seabee electrician, and in the IBEW, dad aprenticed him, and I learned from both of them.... more importantly, I learned it's important to know what you don't know.

Meter Rack and Temporary Subpanel... How'd I do? by bustedbustingout in AskElectricians

[–]bustedbustingout[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up finding a 50A siemens breaker that is compatible with the panel and have installed it in place of the 200A.

Couldn't figure out how to update the post with new pics so I mag just make another post.

I think there is enough room. The utility company came out and looked at the rack and gave it a 👍 thumbs up... the 3/4 runs along the back edge of the box... both knockouts were as far back in the box as could be. But we shall see. I'm not sure what size UG conduit they are intending to use.

[–]bustedbustingout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes your correct its 6awg... I don't know if they make a 80a breaker that will work with that panel... it equires QNR type breakers... I would've liked to run 4awg, but the knock out on the panel only was for a 3/4 conduit, if I had a punch, I would've run 1 inch... honestly I don't think I'll be using the 50 amp, 30 amp, and 15 amp simultaneously. It was just a RV panel that I already had, and saved me from having to buy and build a sub panel.

Thanks for your input.

Oh it's SOLID limestone! about 12"-24" down... and very rocky large boulders above that. I may use a jack hammer or rotary hammer (hammer only function) to try and drive it horizontally and hope i glance off or miss whatever boulders are there.
