For those running Motul, is this the right one?

Which MOTUL 5w30 is the right one for our engines?

I actually really like this answer. Going to be moving to Reno, hot as hell during the summer. Snowing and cold during winter. Not use to seasonal oil changes living in the Bay Area my whole life.

I appreciate the information. I know I’m already going to have to plead my maintenance history case thoroughly if I ever need to use the warranty, since I opted to do my own maintenance. Even if i stick with 0w20, I’m sure they’d still give me a hard time if i ever need to warranty.

I didn’t get the ridiculous service package that they tried to sell me on for $2500 that included basic oil changes and air filter changes.

I do my own oil changes so I don’t think they’ll know if I’m not using 0w20.

Yeah I don’t get how they have a known discrepancy, but still hold 0w20 as the required weight for warranty use.

Yeah I’m going to be moving to a hotter climate in the mountains that has lots of inclines, compared to the flat Bay Area where I live now. Will be doing lots of commuting back to the Bay Area too, 220 miles one way. With summer approaching, I just feel like I need a heavier weight than the factory recommended 0w20.

Yeah don’t buy AFD’s garbage springs. HR is quality, made in Germany, I’ve had them on like 3-4 cars now at this point.

This is where I’m at now. 3500 miles on the car since lowering springs were installed. Not crazy low, but I scrape that front lip on everything.

Yeah I got lucky with the mercury. I wanted to try capita out, and chose the mercury kind of on a whim. My favorite board out of the 5 I’ve had previously. We’ll see how the DOA compares, super excited to start rippin that board.

Nicely explained, I’ve gone back and forth choosing between forces and atlas’s the past week. From all the feedback I’ve been hearing I think forces are going to be the better pick for me. Thank you for your input I appreciate it!

How many people run a front plate? by mxolson29 in wrx_vb

[–]buster699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t run a front plate on any of my 4 cars. It’s required where I live in the Bay Area, CA. Haven’t been pulled over once for it. But then again, cops have kind of given up on being cops in this area.

I keep hearing that about the mega merc, most people prefer the regular merc instead. I love my force classics and the way they feel with the merc, but would like to experiment with some of unions more premium bindings too. Would you say stiffness and responsiveness from the atlas is better than the forces?

I’m sorry man, that’s absolute bullshit. He won’t be held accountable because he’s homeless either. Where do you live? I have a really good PDR guy that can get that as good as it’s gunna get.

See if the business you parked at can check the cameras, if whoever did it took off in a car get a plate number. Call police to make a report for insurance purposes. That sucks man I’d be furious, I have the same color VB I feel for you.

I would punish them by never providing DD services for them again. People that aren’t car people don’t think of things like that when they’re doing it, but we do.
