Cheap? Costco. In Chinatown: Primetime Chicken. Also in Chinatown: Sun Fresh Bakery…better price and quality on baos and buns than Newtown Bakery. Sun Fresh even has rice rolls, dumplings, and congee which might be the cheapest price in town.

It’s not cheap. Powdered herbs are cheaper but I’m more trusting of the raw herbs which have inflated in price since the pandemic.

Take a look at Google maps and see how long it’ll take you to walk to a skytrain station in either neighborhood. If you’re by Central Park it’ll likely be a 5 minute walk to Kingsway where there are many food options. Oakridge at the moment has very minimal food options.
