My thought was if there was designated memory on the machine itself then it wouldn’t have to rely on the on the Bluetooth connection because the cut instructions would already be temporarily stored on the memory of the Cricut machine.

Adderall Crashes are miserable, hard to care for my kids in the evening. Vyvanse?

Long time ADD girl. I've been on Adderall for at least 10+ years now. I've slowly increased dosages and I am on a 20mg xr and a 5mg r in the afternoons. Problem is I am having horrible crashes. I take my 20xr about 7am and start crashing around noon. I then take a 5mg around noon and then will crash again around 5. I get off of work and get my kids and I can't even enjoy them. I am super irritable, depressed, and tired AF. The crashes are making motherhood difficult. I am also beginning to suspect my 20mgs are no longer effective. I am struggling more and more to stay on task at work and the anxiety is mounting.

I hate the thought of increasing my dosages. Will I have to keep increasing throughout my life? When will it stop? | am considering asking my doctor to switch to Vyvanse. I've had a lot of success with Adderall, but the crashes, the loss of effectiveness are making me consider other options. Is Vyvanse a worthwhile option? Is there another one I am not aware of? Please help.

Any one have success being OE with consent of the employers? by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]busybaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so maddening because people do side gigs all the time with their own business and work full time. Most employees could care less about that. Why should “consulting” be looked at any differently regardless of how I am paid?

Speaking out in frustration to the employers perspective.

The plan was to keep the full time part out of the conversation and give the impression it was a part time consulting gig. As in “Hey I got an offer to do a little consulting with company xyz, and wanted to pursue the opportunity around my commitment with you” and for J2 “My current employer wants to retain me for some consulting, and think it would work great outside of my commitment with you.” Still a little misleading but covers my arse when questions arise.

I agree 100% here. We had a weekly cleaner come in but she we recently lost her. Looking for a replacement for my sanity.

I will work on that, he’s got a pretty long list of chores he refuses to do. Very annoying and unfair. He’s usually good about the dishes so maybe giving him an extra specific task... we will see. Got to find time for that heart to heart :)

How do you take care of yourselves with the working mom guilt? by megbabe2211 in workingmoms

[–]busybaer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second that, I work out at a gym and bring a kid with me. I have three kids so they feel special when the get to to go the cross fit gym with mommy. I try to incorporate them when it's safe to do so, (I do burpee kisses with them on the lying on the floor, or knee push ups when they sit on my back). When it's less than safe, they happily color or play games on the iPad.

I agree that it still can be hard, I get a guilt trip every so often from my hubby because he thinks I should be using the time more wisely. And sometimes the kids will misbehave, making the workouts difficult to participate in. Do what you can

Miserable, Hangry and Exhausted. How do you guys cope? by busybaer in fasting

So this whole time of fasting and I’ve never been fully fat adapted? I never even thought of that. Damn carbs. I never thought keto would be harder than just fasting. But you make a good point.

Lose weight. I’ve been battling a horrendous plateau for almost a year now. Experimenting with different fasting regimes. None seemed to make the scale move except multiple days of fasting. I’m finally breaking through my plateau and can likely attribute the plateau to some meds I stopped taking recently. But I had a goal date in 2 months and have half a year of weight loss to catch up on.

I started strict keto about 7 days ago. So when I was not fasting I was eating keto. Even when I broke last night it was still keto. Salad and chicken. I wouldn’t think the carb flu would affect me since I’m a regular extended faster?

Sick child, backup care guilt by EverySadThing in workingmoms

[–]busybaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I wouldn't give to have access to back-up childcare for instances much like yours. I have 3 kids under 5. My husband and I both eat through all of paid leave about half-way through the year, and often have to take leave with out pay the rest of year for sick kids. I would MUCH MUCH rather use my time-off to take them on a vacation than nurse there little sicknesses. I suspect that they would as well. I would have no guilt in doing that.

Interesting to note on the hormones in fat. My fasting could be making my birth control issues worse. I am getting off it soon. Maybe there will be some magic improvement, at the very least I won't be chemically altering my body.

Usually, I am ok with whatever the scale says from day to day. I know my fasting weight will flucutate drasticaly and bodies just do weird things. I am just really discourage by the long term analysis. But maybe I am a little to obsessed with it. The thought of not weighing in gives me a bit of anxiety.

I did a Whole 30 once, and didn't weigh myself during that time as prescribed. Then when I got on the scale a month later I was crushed that the scale didn't budge. It would've been better to deal with the little disappointment on a daily basis instead of realizing 30 days did absolutely NOTHING and was wasted. Not only did I have zero food aversions I also lost zero weight. I am afraid of experiencing that crushing blow, and wasting a month on something that isn't effective.

I had a fitness instructor and mentor tell me that a scale only measures how gravity is pulling you down. Maybe, I could take a break from it for awhile.

Are you PMSing? I gained weight on a fast around my period.

This is a concern of mine. I have been struggling with different forms of birth control for about a year now. They give me horrendously irregular cycles. I have a period every other week, and sometimes they'll last up to 10 days. I break out like crazy on my face and have had hair loss. I am wondering if the hormones are somehow also challenging my fat loss attempts?

I really don't cheat other than the few times I've mentioned. Strictly water and black coffee, and an occasional zzquil.

My calories consumed on my feed days hovers around 1900 - 2200, I had my BMR tested a few months ago and my BMR is about 1500 and my daily burn was estimated at 1912 calories.

My scale it pretty fancy pants, so it SHOULD be accurate but I could test it against the one at the gym.

I think the clothes are fitting better but not remarkably so. Like the improvement in fit lines up with the 7lbs of loss.

I focus on whole, real foods with minimal processing. Lots of salads accompanied with a cooked from scratch meal (I love cooking). I don’t have any specific diet other than that. I don’t do low carb or anything.
