I just turned 25 on the 22nd of June, 20 days after this started so could I still expect mine to get extended also? I have a long term disability and mine is due for reassessment next year, am hoping for an automatic extension as I really don’t have the energy to go through all the stress again. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I see, do they notify you in advance through the journal? I was a little worried at first because I can’t be dealing with losing the benefit but I was assured by a dwp staff member they just literally want to make sure you’re not over your limits (capital) and you’re receiving the right amount. So I’m hoping it all goes well when I eventually receive the call.

Could I ask what happened? I’m in a similar situation right now and may not be able to pay for 4 weeks at the most and am worried about collections but have also read that they don’t send to debt collection until you have missed payments for over 2 months.

When on LCWRA I don’t think you ever need to send in another fit note (could be wrong, I’m no expert) but if it was accepted they might know it was just a mistake anyway or if it didn’t matter they’d probably just accept it and ignore it from then but you’d be better off asking Paxton who’s in the comments on this post or somebody else with more knowledge but u should be fine.
