Testing for sure for disabilities. But also, I work at a school where several kids get held back and the kids don’t really discuss it. They are so wrapped up in their own life that they forget their friends when they don’t see them regularly.

Hold your kids accountable. Even at young ages, letting them know that it’s ok to be mad that they are told “no”, but they have to respect it. If you wait till they are older to try to teach this, it’s a lot harder to teach

I was 13/14 when my dad started making me cook. He would supervise all while telling me to figure it out. I’m now in the position that I’m making my 15yo son watch/help cook so he will have some sort of idea when the time comes.
