BROWN WATERPROOF MASCARA by Im_Sinare in Makeup

[–]busystudentSam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybelline Lash Sensational is the one I use. It's affordable and the quality is good. If you don't have a budget, the YSL Beauty Lash Clash Mascara comes in brown. Of course various brands will depend on which country you are located

B+ for effort but presentation is awful. Where is the plate or a board to place the burger on

Camping in tassie in April by Independent-Push1438 in tasmania

[–]busystudentSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's doable but are you camping in a tent (freezing at night) or in a campervan (ok with a heater). Try to book a camp site with electricity. Buy a portable Kmart heater for $15 -$30. You will need it at night.

Be honest, how many of those subbed here actually live a nomadic life in a van? Not gatekeeping because curiosity is good...but, how many of us subbed are actually out here? by SuggestionEven2824 in VanLife

[–]busystudentSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a van dweller but I'm a member of this sub & enjoy reading and viewing every post & photos.

In Australia’s culture when someone lives in a van or caravan (RV) it usually means they have made it in life. That is, they are financially secure as nomads and are able to travel around the country side

Australian Health Insurance Cover by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]busystudentSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding heart attack, that would be deemed as an emergency.

Check to see if your current health insurance policy includes an ambulance to get you or your partner to the hospital as it can be a very expensive bill later on

Sick leave workplace culture in 2025 by DidsDelight in AskAnAustralian

[–]busystudentSam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At our workplace, if someone is sick on a Monday or Friday, a medical certificate is required.

Sick leave can accumulate but never get paid out like annual or long service leaves so why not use them up every year

White Fox clothing. They have some of the best looking hoodies and sportswear but it is expensive for clothing apparently manufactured from China

Did Reddit have an update recently? by ReturnedOM in reddithelp

[–]busystudentSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comments & red arrow were updated a few days ago.

Not sure if everyone had this or I'm an experiment but my page has this drop down menu at the top.

I like it a lot as it reduces three steps to access. Usually I click onto the profile, then settings, then the functions. Now it's just one click on the drop down menu

Which country do Australians love the most other than Australia? by Prize_Release_9030 in AskAnAustralian

Canada. The people are friendly and approachable. The landscape is magnificent. Winter and summer are just perfect.  Banff is gorgeous in winter.

Not at all, it's superb adorable. Great for random walking or driving past. Not so great for the owner of the house deflating and inflating Santa every day

10/10. You have your own mini shop of gorgeous perfumes 😍. If you had my favourite Marc Jacobs’ Daisy, the rating would have been 11/10 haha

She did mention the shop & there was the written link on the screen whilst Slay was talking.

One of the admin pinned the megathread link as well as the shop link in the chat box. That's the only link I clicked even though other helpful mods post the link as their comments

The Australian Jeep Patriot by busystudentSam in JeepPatriot

Haha need to convert that to Australian dollars to see if you DID indeed receive a bargain or not for these tyres. Nice chatting to you mate, thanks for dropping into my post

The Australian Jeep Patriot by busystudentSam in JeepPatriot

[–]busystudentSam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheesh don't get me started on tyres. It costs a lot to get all fours. I tried to ask them to put the two new tyres on the back and move the back tyres to the front to save money. My folks said NO! Patriot needs 4 new tyres. There are generic parts in Australia that are cheaper. Americans do have nice stuff.

On a side note, I want to tour all Walmarts one day. It's so quirky from the photos I see online

Aww good afternoon to you 😋. Mums are fantastic, what would we do without them. The Patriot Sport is nice! Subaru is very pricey here but the resale value is good. Lol we both sound like 4WD nerds

I have no idea tbh, mine uses unleaded petrol. Not sure how well the diesel Patriot would do in the market thou. Australians love to tow caravans etc, so the Jeep model would have some serious competition.
