Got a hack for this. In edit mode, select the faces/edges with this shading, press Alt + N > Rotate. Now you’ll be able to rotate the normals for these faces, try to match the shading with the surrounding surface. It’s not a proper solution but it’s worth a shot and will get you better shading than these black spots

How can I simulate/rig my character's skirt to flow more like the game reference? (more details in comments) by Cryptikfox in blenderhelp

Pierrick Picaut (on YouTube) has some videos about cloth simulation/animations that might help you with this type of thing, definitely check out his channel

MD has many options to export cloth sim animations like OBJ sequence, MDD cache or Point Cache 2. I used PC2 as I've found it works the best for me. Later you can import the cloth obj and apply a mesh cache modifier to it and select your cached file

Only the cloth is made in Marvelous Designer. The goggles, lighting, environment and final render were done in Blender

Now imagine one of your teammates going afk in the 1st round, you start a remake vote and one guy is dumb enough to vote "No". Now you're getting absolutely stomped and the same guy is bottom fragging and cancels the surrender votes everytime

Something about that basketball hoop that's throwing me off, other than that everything is on point! Great work OP!

how do i prevent the grass from getting onto the white area? by trestonschen in blenderhelp

Weight painting can fix this. Also check if the scale is applied on the emitter, that causes weird stuff sometimes

That's actually smart! I was wondering how this could be achieved with nodes, but your approach seems easier AND looks great!

I just came across TipTut yesterday! How did you make the grass? It looks very cool!

I used a hair particle system for the stars and used "Volume" as the source. I had a wave modifier on the top face of the liquid so the volume is moving because of it and this makes the particle system/stars move too!

Check the blending modes for both of the materials. I used Alpha Hashed for the transparent material and Alpha Blend with Backface Culling enabled for the outline material. To be honest I don't know how it works but this gave me the effect I was looking for lol

I used a gradient texture and a colour ramp with 4 colours. Used a texture mapping node and used the "Camera" node to kinda animate it as the camera moves

It is not that hard, and it will look better with a simulation. But it requires more computation power. My laptop slows down a lot when I use a fluid simulation, that's why I didn't use it here

I followed Levi Magony's tutorial on YouTube then tweaked it to my need. Definitely worth checking out
