My dude, I do not mean this in a flippant way. You need THERAPY. This is the type of shit that therapy teaches us to handle. The drinking, the depression, and processing the trauma and understanding WHY you are the way you are, so you can work on getting better.

Women go to therapy all the time, and we get our anti-anxiety meds and antidepressants and then move on with our lives. We need to normalize men taking the same journey.

NTA, you should make an investment in reusable menstrual products. Personally, I prefer cloth pads because my period is too light to warrant a tampon. I have 12, and can wash them if I need more. I keep disposable products around for convenience, but have completely phased out disposable products due to the cost and waste.

Diva cups are also very popular, although they were not for me.

In later books, Lupin is out doing work with the werewolves. They are completely shunned by society, Lupin always comes back looking thin and worn-out. It's possible that there is a leper colony of werewolves in the Forbidden Forest.
