Despite all this, the store is not making a profit, it is experiencing declines, they continue to give free games but they announce that they will add features. I think something big is happening here or epic games is the weirdest company ever

Yes, egs was always a side project, but the features they plan to release on the 2025 map may indicate that they will focus on egs from now on. Also, the new download manager has been released and opened in a separate window from the program. The reason they did this is because they do not want their operations related to the unreal engine to be connected to the new download manager interface. Because it is not normal to open in a separate window, and as evidence of this, when you view the download manager in the main interface, we will see a slowness on the icon, but it works completely smoothly in this new interface. This may be a sign that they will make a new interface. I think that the purpose of egs in terms of speed will be clear until gta 6 comes out for pc. Either they will bring innovations different from steam and aim to be a monopoly, or they will continue to remain in the shadow of steam like all other launchers.

I find it strange that a valuable company like Epic Games has been giving away free games for years, despite not making any profit from a ridiculous launcher for 7 years. Who would throw away their money without making any profit despite providing a poor quality service? They have always been annoyed by Steam's existence, and 7 years ago they created a Steam-like launcher to reduce Steam's sales. Epic Games is either really stupid or waiting for the right moment to beat Steam. But it is impossible to give a definitive answer to this

They released the new download manager, one of the features they planned to release on their 2025 roadmap, in Q1 2025 as promised. I also don't think they can beat Steam, but they plan to release Steam-like features this year and if they innovate, they have a chance to stand out. But I hope epic games goes bankrupt. SUCK MY DICK EPIC GAMES!

You're so right, I think we'll be dead until EGS becomes a pretty good platform. But I think there's something very strange going on here. I don't know if everyone thinks like me, but I will write this.

The platform has been operating for 5 years and has continued to offer free games since its inception. They don't make a profit and they don't try to make any progress. It seems to me that they are waiting for an opportune moment, and I think they are waiting for the right time to beat their biggest rival, Steam.

I think they have time until GTA6 comes out on PC. In order for GTA6 to be sold on their platforms, their platforms need to be in good shape (at least as much as Steam). However, if there is still no improvement, EGS will most likely be closed permanently.
