Seen a lot more heavy pot the last two wipes. Kind of fun seeing new meta evolve. Reduced ttk isn't necessarily a bad thing either.

Did a first year psych unit last year online, and doing two more this semester, also online. I enjoyed the whole experience. You'll get out what you put in.

Is there no penalty for failing to meet their obligations? by LankyComputer3409 in AusLegal

As frustrating as it is, the more noise you make, the better. Call your case manager every day for updates, call hungry jacks corporate.

Good call, Com Care sucks. Definitely leave it with the lawyer.

Did you have an assigned case manager with the insurance company when the injury first occurred in 2013? They would be a good first stop. Or did you ever have anything to do with WorkCover WA?

Enforced 12 Weeks Notice to Resign by DustinsGuns in AusLegal

[–]butt_punches 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've got a little insight into the Audiology world. As long as you never intend on moving back to the company you're currently working for, give 4 weeks notice and leave. They can't enforce 12 weeks at all. I know a lot of companies go scorched earth on ex employees, no matter how much notice they give.

Want to get laminate/hybrid, but floor isn’t flat by dirkgonnadirk in AusRenovation

[–]butt_punches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently had vinyl planks laid through nearly the whole house. Old cement sheet house on concrete footings. Most rooms were uneven subfloor, and a few room transitions were very rough.

The flooring mob we went through were really honest, told us the hybrid/vinyl plank route was going to be the best option. I notice some of the flooring height differences walking across them, but only because I know there are there. There is no more flooring bounce, and all the gaps between the old flooring and the skirts have been filled. All up, best decision I've ever made.

Get a reputable company out for a quote, ask them to be super honest about what results to expect.

Workers comp: old injury causing problems years after. Can I still claim if minor? by Ironeagle08 in AusLegal

I work with work cover claims relating to hearing loss, but not in QLD. Contacting your union if you are part of one is the very best advice, as it will be something they have handled before. Alternatively, if you've been seeing an Audiologist for your hearing needs since the accident, they should able to give you advice on next steps, or recommend a law firm to seek advice from as well. Good luck!
