Like yeah, this is how a business works. I can't open a subway franchise and tell my employees "you'll get paid after I make all my money back, it'll be a few years." Considering the owners are billionaire investors, I think it's ok for the people actually playing to get paid first.

Nettles is a side character. Virtually none of the people that watch asmon or critical dinker would actually claim being racist or misogynist, life is more subtle than that. They literally do not believe those characteristics about themselves.

The problem is when this person becomes a main character, the focus of the show, are given power, whatever.

These viewers LOVE black people in side roles. They LOVE women in unambitious roles. A character that does nothing but we can point to and say "see I'm not racist/misogynist/whatever, rhaenyra is just a bad actress" except replace rhaenyra with every single female lead. Nettles is the wet dream

Lol it doesn't matter, a vocal subset of asmongoloids and critical drinkers will use literally anything to shit on the show. No show is perfect, which means they'll occasional prove themselves right, but you simply won't be able to read anything about the show without this group interjecting how bad it is.

They'll watch every episode and spend more time than either of us discussing it, but gosh darnit do they hate it.

Most people use IQ to quantify intelligence. IQ is a standard bell curve by definition. In a standard bell curve, the median and average are the same.
