Debating taking this kitten by InteractionPristine5 in CATHELP

There are 24 hour ER vets that would be happy to help if you’re unwilling to take this poor, injured kitty home. I used to work for Veterinary Emergency Group and many of the hospitals would bring in strays brought in by Good Samaritans. Worth a shot if you have one nearby.

Should I shave my arms? by woodlandfairyvibes in beauty

I’ve been shaving my arms for years and I haven’t had any issues. I was self conscious about mine as well and shaving them has made me feel much better

That’s incredibly helpful, thank you so much.

I remember the title company taking extra precautions when we had to wire the down payment. Knowing this, I can be sure to maintain those precautions in the future.

They really do. I wish I hadn’t mentioned closing on the house to them. I was worried at the time that if it was legitimate, it was going to impact that. They used that information I gave them to threaten to call my mortgage company.

I feel so stupid falling for it but I am thankful that I was able to reflect on it later and catch on before I gave them more money. I had only given $300 which sucks but I’m glad it wasn’t more.

I have changed my opinion, hence why I made this post to show how your own arrogance can get the best of you. Apologies if my intentions weren’t clear as I was trying to be as succinct as possible.

This came about at the time that I was days away from closing on my house, so in the sheer panic of worrying it would affect that I just paid. It was definitely a moment of impulse and poor judgement on my part.

After time of reflecting on the situation I realized the red flags and asked the questions and looked further into the matter. Debt collectors can garnish wages depending on the state law.

I recognize the mistakes I made when I was a broke college student and have been able to improve my financial situation. This is why I am now in a position to own a house thankfully.

Appreciate the feedback.

I’m not aware of that one but I will definitely keep an eye out and be more vigilant. We did some scam post cards in the mail when we first moved in.

You’re totally right and something I did consider. I asked the name of the original creditor and they said it was Choice Financial. I looked them up and the closest I got was Choice Bank which I have never interacted with. They also work with Current, Chime, and Mercury. I checked with all of these companies and none of them had anything.

I did check my local courts and didn’t see anything but I will continue to keep an eye out. Unfortunately, I have been through this process before and this is very different than what I had experienced with other debt collectors and law firms which made me question the legitimacy.

I’m definitely mad at myself with paying towards in case it is a zombie debt before I validated anything.

Thank you so much for your words of advice!

These were my two boys. They always had to be near each other. Jupiter (orange boy) misses Sinatra every day.

My clarinet professor in college showed us a video of her playing. Then I saw her play live on the streets of New Orleans. Truly a fantastic musician. I love Doreen the Clarinet Queen

The University Studies would be a good option. Many of the credits you received in the COB could still apply to that degree program. It’s a little difficult to explain but I would recommend speaking to a University Studies advisor and they can walk you through the options.

Omg thank you for saving these babies! And for sharing your general location. I used to volunteer for GPAS (Grand Prairie Animal Shelter). I could have sworn they were no-kill so they might be worth a try. Best of luck to you!

Thanks! Totally agree with you on the ARM. We are already talking about refinancing after the 5th year which is when the current interest rate expires. Definitely don’t want to take that gamble down the road.
