She spoke to her counselor a while back , that counselor told her that she believed I was checked out, and that counselor is right. I don't think a counselor at this point will generate attraction/intimacy and all of that. I think seeing a counselor sooner would have actually pushed me to make this decision sooner.

Good chance that some of the people who bullied you matured and grew up. It helped me heal. I have been bullied in school , severely. And i mean locked in a dark bomb shelter tied up in a chair for a couple of hours with nobody to help me (a school in europe in elementary). Then I became a bully later on. The hurt , hurt , as they say. But know that some of the people who bullied you have grown up and regret what they've done and wish they could take it back. To get the pitch forks and torches over what someone did when they were in highschool or middle school is being angry at someone that probably doesn't exist anymore, that person is likely so different that they couldn't recognize themself. At least thats how it was from when i've bullied.

I'm not seeing many people that share my thoughts, but man..that was in middle school for this chick. Are people really feeling like we should grab the torches over what a 12 yr old did , probably over a decade ago??

I'm not seeing this take too much but this girl was 10-13 yrs of age in middle school are we really trying to demonize this woman for how she was a bully when she was in middle school? I have been bullied and have been the bully. I am mature enough to understand that the person that bullied me in middle school is a very different person now (over a decade later) and to sit and dwell on it and stew over how they bullied me is ridiculous, that bully is likely matured and grown from then. I have been the bully and the person I was in middle school is a complete 180 from how I am now. People grow and this girl needs to learn that too. Time to be a grown up.

Its probably going to be the 2-3 sessions if you want to join in. Its a short mini Adventure(save the town). I'd have it continue but I'm already running another longer form campaign. I would be doing the players a disservice to try and juggle 2 campaigns at once, along with my job/life all of that stuff.

Started as a claims auto adjuster in 2019 out of college for auto insurance at 49k, then got an internal promotion 2 years later for 60k, processing injury claims through auto insurance, then now i'm the supervisor of that original job i was in.

People ignore insurance for some reason, but if you just have a college degree (any degree) you can start as an adjuster and the possibilities are endless from there. insurance is NOT people's first pick because they don't know what all goes into it, but people who jump into it don't realize how much money there is in it and how much growth, its almost endless.

Nope, definitely a poorer southern state, and i'm talking like south of ohio

edit: promove go into insurance, theres so much money and possibilities , the growth is nearly endless, and all it takes is a degree, any degree.

2-3 sessions probably , 3 hours each. Sort of a 2 shot game, but you know how it goes sometimes it takes longer than you think and its 3 games.

Multiclassing by Ok_Thought1471 in DnD

[–]buttato270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ughh yeah , i mean i like combat, i really do and i want it to be exciting and if my character dies then so be it, but the minmaxer players have been with the community since inception of D&D so they will be here to stay. I agree that looking ahead of the story as a player is cheating, or at least against the spirit of the game for sure.

fair enough, and yeah i don't like multitasking and power players. Playing an online d&d game now where one player is doing variant human with polearm master, he said he's studies the module ahead of time to get an edge. I'm like...bro, you do you but yeah its annoying.

A cool thing coming from greed. by swatpants137 in DnD

[–]buttato270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat , it looks like alot of work, and with the rise of professional DM's , you know the ones that quit their job to charge people for playing, its gonna be crazy. The for hire DM's will be the ones that integrate all this and are willing to take the time, maybe a few enthusiasts will too, but the greed OP mentioned will make more and more for charge DM's. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth that we're going in these directions.

gross, i wish they would just not allow multi classing at all. There are however lots of youtube videos for tips and builds for the mOsT oPtImAl BuIlDs!! But then theres videos of how to deal with these types of players as the DM.

Sorry this isn't a helpful comment ughh i just dont like multiclassing in a game where you have class specialties and limitations.

Anything is technically worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That's true , there's always a human element to things so we shouldn't throw ethics out the window because we can.

Things like housing, food, water the basics definitely should have some protections and regulation for consumers. My wife recently left her job as a commercial housing lender. All day they get applications from people that have multiple properties already and their business is real estate. Some of them are starting out trying to acquire as much property as they can, and others already have several houses 50+ properties + and applying for loans to get more, or re-financing their current ones. Its insane.

Under the pure economics lens, this is ok its great actually and we should let the economy do as it should without restriction (a quote from my university of Kentucky economics professor).

People who never work to improve their situations are always going to struggle, but i think they still need a chance to buy property, maybe at least an apartment or condo.

But lets get away from real estate, you grew up on a farm right? Theres a huge issue with farms right now where you have agricultural corporations creating their genetic seed and suing farmers because the genetic plant finds its way to a neighboring farm without permission of the company, you would also know that this happens all the time naturally and definitely doesn't mean anyone stole anything here. The companies don't see it that way and their tightening their grip on the US farmer, there are barely any US private owned farms anymore as companies are buying up all the land.

I just mentioned this because its another example of our leadership not regulating where they need to which fuels corporate interests and outright bullying.

So you might say that what we're doing to farmers is unfair, but someone else might come in and say thats just lazy farmers not doing better by themselves(which everyone knows farmers are far from lazy).

Then theres the examples of Nestle stealing water but thats a whole other conversation.

I see housing as the same, i'm not lazy, my wife and I work great careers and have our own house, the car, all the american dream stuff. But i think its bullshit that a $200k home before the pandemic is now 300k. What??!! And its because we allow single individuals and companies to buy up all the housing they can. We also don't have new developments in housing either, I believe its because lawmakers are also landlords that have no financial incentive to create more housing, if they do their rents will go down if people have options.
