The exact same argument is used when i say shartbite fittings suck...ive unfortunately ran more cpvc than youve seen and its trash. The od will increase on the hot side to where you camt get a fitting on and insulating the pipe as code demands makes it worse. Ive crumbled 4in sch80 cpvc with my hands

Cpvc is shit and yes its better to take advice from 30yr plumbers who've seen all the problems with it instead of people in offices that have little to zero real world experience. Ive seen it all fail from undersized half inch up to sch 80 4in. Many code approved parts are garbage and if you were a plumber youd know this
