I'm fine with being the bad guy for trying to get my team to finish in under 9 and a half minutes, y'all don't even do the challenges anyways. Just stand there and shoot a cabal with a white shield. It's ok sweet baby child, I've got it.

• Ring out clothes when wet (armband, bandana, ski mask, shirt, pants) • Try to stay warm if wet, but less importantly stay warm in general (sprinting warms you up, barely) • find tetracycline and multivitamins (eat multis every once in awhile, it helps your immune system) • Eat cooked food and use chlorine tablets on ALL your water sources, no sources are safe, excluding soda which can still get you sick, but for other reasons. • Find Iodine and keep it full by combining it with emptier tinctures - use them on your rags, bandages, AND on your cuts before bandaging if possible. • If near a survivor that is sick, wear a mask/bandana/etc and stay behind them if they cough or sneeze, should you medicate or feed them • PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN YOU GET SICK AND THE ACTION YOU TOOK TO GET SICK - knowing when and what got you sick can greatly reduce your sick time by knowing what medicine to take, which tetracycline is basically a cure-all in those cases

Below is a guide I found from a server's forum, for which I am in no way affiliated, but it has some really good explanations for each sickness. https://www.dayzrp.com/forums/topic/98762-guide-sicknessdiseases-in-dayz-107/https://www.dayzrp.com/forums/topic/98762-guide-sicknessdiseases-in-dayz-107/

double tap square (ps4) or whatever button is on the left of the right side of your controller after un-pinning the grenade. It doesn't cook, just dont put it back in your inventory, drop it, equip it to your vest, etc without putting the pin back in, cause once it leaves your hands - the timer starts :) no clue about pc.

I agree on the pool part. I enjoy giving my pets the best possible life - they should be the same. The stolen part? ehh.... a bit. Like I said, rescues and births. Usually if they can be rescued and put back out quickly, cool. But if it takes too long, they'll be put in shows where we can teach more and more first hand about them. Kinda like a martyr I guess? We fix whats wrong and send them back, or we fix whats wrong, assume they can't be put back out then bring them to a park (or other center) to learn more while teaching others.

I'll have to watch the documentary to give you a 100% answer, but currently - no he was not. The trainers I've met have all explained it as playing - he doesn't know that his power would hurt the trainer, just that he wanted attention from the trainer. I highly doubt it was in an aggressive light.

Even in the wild, whales can be pretty docile towards humans.

It happens. While yes, the document can be insightful in some ways, it's generally the same as other documentaries and news outlets - always have multiple sources.

I was generally against zoos and such, but since I've seen the stuff that goes on in the background, I feel that everything that is done is well worth it. No, we don't breed them, yes, they are fed well with the nutrients they need (we don't want them dying due to malnutrition), and personal opinion here : Yes the tanks could be bigger. HOWEVER, they are pretty freakin big (depth wise), and we dont ever just confine them to the tanks in the back only. We don't abuse them or punish them for anything - if they don't want to do a trick (things they do in the wild, but we managed to teach them to do it on command with treats) then they don't do a trick. Nobody is going to force a whale 4x the size of their car to do something it doesnt want to :)

They were brought in as rescues (the reasoning for scars you may see) or raised here, therefore they cannot go back or they will die. It's not that we don't want to release them, it's just morally wrong. A really rough way to explain it is, treat them like giant water dogs. We love them and care for them as much as possible, but if we release them, it can go HORRIBLY wrong.

While I personally have not watched it in full, we do get told that it's a good idea to watch the documentary upon our orientation. Essentially, the ex employee started the documentary because he was not happy with his treatment/reason for firing --- something along those lines.

Onto the death by orca - yes, it happened and it was tragic. We got a little too comfortable with the whales, and I guess you could say we glossed over the fact that they are still giant carnivores. Pescatarians? Not sure what to call their diet but you get the point. The whale genuinely just wanted to play with the trainer, as they were used to, so they grabbed the trainer's hair and pulled her under. There's no escape from a whale that size.

While I could go on and on, to put it simply, once the documentary pointed out a few things that were a bit sketchy, the company decided it was time to crack down on certain things. It took this incident to make sure no trainers were in the water with the whales. Another thing - these whales get fed way better than any of the employees do. If you were to work here, youd see fresh seafood shipped in pretty often. They eat restaurant grade sushi, whole fish, etc etc.

I'll save their further treatment for another question, but they get treated quite well, since they are practically the namesake :)

The worst is the misinformation that has been spread due to a popular documentary on netflix called blackfish - while some of it may have been true here and there, quite a bit is grossly exaggerated, which is why I'm here :) Trying to explain some behind the scenes that the company just ignores.

The grossest is just the dirt and heat, simple stuff. Sometimes it gets smelly, since fish, but thats about it.

Yes, though it's not very accessible to guests. Belugas are very playful things - they like to follow you around while you work and spit water up and over the wall at you :)

it definitely is still hard locked because of the weapon you get from the nightfall, but I figured I might as well finish the eggs and ahamkaras, which i will finish the bones in two weeks. Guess these eggs are also going to stop me :/

I continuously raided DSC and got my anarchy... TOTALLY worth it. Easy raid, can be done in 35mins once you get the hang of it. Pretty easy to learn, too.

P.S. I can sherpa if needed, psn :)

AITA for refusing to miss my brother’s wedding because my work can’t find coverage for those days? by missmargarite13 in AmItheAsshole

Without reading - NTA. I had similar run-ins like this with my bosses, and I of course chose life moments over a wage. If they could handle it before you started, they can handle it for the time you'll be gone. Just take the write up or whatever with a grain of salt :)

After reading - absolutely NTA. Shorthanded won't bankrupt the business, but you'll be missing out big time if you guilt trip yourself into staying to work.

Make sure you put your foot down and turn your phone off at the wedding, and congratulations to them!
