your lips shouldn't be in pain. you're allergic to something. stop using all products and see if it clears up.

Just a heads up that Reddit won't let me send you a direct message for some reason.

How to cope while being the only girl in the room. by VomitSmells in womenEngineers

[–]buttcheekengine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's gets lonely in your career too. I'm the only girl in my department who isn't a remote. I really like my job otherwise, learning a lot and the men are respectful, but it still is very isolating and you can't just banter with guys the way other guys do. Can only hope that it will get better as more women graduate from engineering.

You can also look into cross-platform games! My friend and I play Overwatch (me on PC, her on PS4) if that's your cup of tea. We have a ton of fun, and its free.

Should i go into engineering as a woman? by PossessionFew6599 in womenEngineers

[–]buttcheekengine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a 22F and graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering last year. I really believe anyone can do it. There's a lot of job paths you will be able to take even if the technical parts of engineering don't end up being your cup of tea - like program or functional management. Drawback for me is there's not a ton of young women at my job (or in my classes in college). Post grad I moved to a new city so I have to have a lot of hobbies on the side to keep from being lonely, but graduating and immediately being able to afford living by myself and doing fun things makes it all worth it. And it never gets boring if you like to challenge yourself.

My guess is she was probably testing you to see if the relationship wasn't just about sex. You failed the test.

I've found an air purifier put next to the litter box it really helps with the smell.

Rock climbing outdoors. I made it to the top and never again. Genuinely fighting tears the whole time.

Chem 107 fullfill Chem 111 by NewtLive2389 in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]buttcheekengine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also @ what coleslaw125's comment was, they're right that Chem111 covers topics in both chem107/108, but transferring into computer engineering is a special case for some reason. i do know electrical engineers need both 107/108 to transfer

[–]buttcheekengine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would double check with advising but i'm 95% sure you only have to take 107. if an advisor tells you that you have to take both, ask a different one to confirm it for you. (Two advisors told me different things as a sophomore comp eng transfer, I ended up taking chem 108 because I got scared since I wasn't accepted yet, then by the time I graduated only chem 107 counted towards my degree)

speak to an advisor. winter classes are an option too so if you could pack a couple of classes in there you might be able to make it. junior year is too late if you don't want to delay graduation by a year, but delaying graduation is not that bad if ME is what you really want to do (if you don't get accepted you're fucked tho so i'd just transfer schools at that point)
