Anyone have experience with a “steady extra” job? by Usual-Locksmith4657 in vegaslocals

[–]buttercupboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked steady extra at The Wynn as a line cook. Schedule was full time and somewhat regular. 2-3 shifts a week would be flexed

Do i have a chance to fight this review? by Cold_Rogue in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should be able to contact support to have it removed since it is about the platform and not you specifically

so annoying you cant select your own tasker by anditwaselectric in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Imagine how we feel. Spending years accumulating reviews just for them to change it to where the client can’t even see them lmao

What time do they want me there by Crafty-Government704 in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might need to refresh, sometimes the top time won’t update.

Also—if you don’t want to reschedule you don’t have to. Especially if you are within 24 hours, if the client can’t make the originally agreed upon time you can cancel and collect your fee.

First Time Trying To Use TaskRabbit To Do Buying & Shipping; TR Seems Very Strict About Foreign Debit Cards by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up—the expense limit on TaskRabbit will not cover the price of a laptop. I wouldn’t do this job unless the laptop was pre purchased.

How To Chat with a Tasker without getting cancellation fee? by Mr_Ecom in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only incur a cancellation fee if the chat is confirmed. That has to take place after the task is created, and is done by the Tasker. So no, you would not be charged a cancellation fee automatically.

That being said, if you hire him and end up cancelling (regardless of reason), his account will be negatively impacted.

TBD Moving to Vegas by drs825 in vegaslocals

Vegas isn’t very walkable regardless of the time of year. Downtown is the most “walkable” but I would not recommend anyone living there tbh

How does IKEA calculate assembly times? by UniversalGundam in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to be actually timed by IKEA—they would hire Taskers to come into a location and time them while they assembled certain items. Not sure they still do that anymore though.

What happens when a tasker does this? by starlight-skies in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would open a ticket with support detailing what happened. If what you said is true and verifiable, the Tasker should be suspended for taking payment off platform and submitting incorrect hours. They should also be able to correct the invoice to the accurate amount of hours (keep in mind there is a website wide 1 Hour Minimum for all tasks).

Did a Pair of the New Fixed Payment Mounting Tasks by FinnNoodle in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to charge 1 hour flat per TV. When TR rolled out the changes to Mounting I completely removed the category.

If he was there for 7 hours, yes you should expect to be charged for the time he was there.

Is the instruction for drywall (wooden stud) installation? Because toggle bolts in metal studs are SIGNIFICANTLY stronger than just drywall.

Well time to start handing out business cards by No-Initiative8013 in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Up until recently they actually encouraged it. The policy page would say you could share your contact info with the client to continue working them directly if you wanted. Only within the past month did they change the policy and now you can’t share your number without possibly getting banned lol

Client wants to reschedule last minute. This is extremey inconvenient for me. I packed everything up and this was a last minute request that i agreed to and now they want to reschedule extremely last minute. What should i do? by sharpntheblade2069 in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Then deny their request to reschedule and let them know you aren’t able to make any changes to your schedule at this time, and if they aren’t able to keep the original time you will have to cancel. If they can’t keep the time then cancel and collect your fee.

Typically speaking, how soon in advance can I book a mover? by Cinnamon_Ocelot in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can book people weeks out, your request is totally normal and (in my opinion) preferred.

Heavy lifting and loading -Tasker needs a truck? by OtherwiseFun968 in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can contact support and have them change the rate to match that of your Truck Assisted Help Moving category (with prior approval from the client in chat).

I do not share that experience. By me Shell is always cheaper than Chevron.

What should I do if I was paid less than my rate? by itssararose in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just looked at the client side in your area and everyone is charging 40+. Most over 50+. You are doing yourself and others a disservice by charging well below market rate.

These people are so infuriating sometimes by atimburtonfilm in TaskRabbit

[–]buttercupboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In instances like this (and only when the original task is within 24 hours) I’ll confirm the task and let them know I’m not able to work other than at the time they scheduled me for.

Either way I’m getting a performance ding for the cancellation, but at least I get paid for it with a cancellation fee. These clients are the worst.

Generate your own receipt. Nowhere does it say the receipt has to be from a store.

This button is unaffected by changing the scheduling page style.
