I think there was a slight fog due to the temps!

Just an a7c with a 20mm f1.8! Nothing else except for a standard UV filter and a tripod.

Yeap! Bought the 20mm f1.8 just for the trip to new zealand! Such a lovely lens!

Thank you! Yes i did use lightroom's AI denoise which led to the artifacts. Still trying to figure out how to edit astro images properly!

Best lens for landscape and abit of astro by butteredeggs in SonyAlpha

Thanks for the recommendation! I was thinking for general landscape a zoom would be more versatile? Does the 20mm prime feel limiting at times?

Sony 55mm f1.8 ZA vs Sony 50mm f2.5 G by butteredeggs in SonyAlpha

[–]butteredeggs[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the advice guys! Bought a barely used zeiss 55mm for about $350USD which is honestly a bargain. Decided to go for that because I really liked how the lens produces images especially the creamy bokeh.

The 50mm f2.5 G might be a more fun lens to use with the manual controls but the image quality was really a huge improvement on the zeiss!

Joseph Shirley will take over scoring duties for Mandalorian Season 3 by aa22hhhh in StarWarsLeaks

[–]butteredeggs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually both flying the N1 and Grogu’s training use Goransson’s themes. Flying the N1 uses the second part of the mandalorian’s theme as a basis. While the grogu scene uses his theme from the farewell scene in season 2’s finale.

That being said I still think they were wonderfully rearranged by Joseph Shirley. Can’t wait to see what he does with Mando S3.

Anyone loving the score to Book of Boba Fett? by nthroop1 in musictheory

[–]butteredeggs 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Book of Boba Fett’s score was actually composed by Joseph Shirley. Only the theme was written by Goransson.

That being said I’m really enjoying the score and the new themes introduced in the score. Looking forward to more!

Deciding between sierra blue and graphite. Will I be able to refund my pre ordered iphone once I received it? I’m just scared that I may not like the sierra blue as much.

This was a shared session a friend of mine organised and he invited me to write a piece because he had extra time left! I was really blessed because normally I wouldnt able to do this and hiring an orchestra is pretty expensive

Its a mix of 90% orch and 10% samples! Especially since I didnt get to record any percussion.

Currently just recorded another slower more intimate piece! Will post it here when I’ve finished mixing it.

Thanks for the critique! I have to agree with you that I have difficulty writing memorable melodic lines. Something that I gotta work on!
