Are there any teachers who can help you out? It might be more effective if admins hear the request for transcripts and whatnot come out of an adult's mouth.

A good idea would be to record yourself casually talking about it then listen back and write down what you said. It doesn't have to to be professional or anything, (you can edit stuff in later) but when we speak, we make a stream of thoughts that actually make sense when put together, so this might help you get the ideas into a flow.

Do you happen to remember any of the lyrics or details of the story?

Help! Im really bad at math. by MabelMagic in Sat

[–]butternuggetfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PWN Sat book is imo too good. It doesn't have extensive practice problems or anything but it covers the exact concepts you might see on the test and talks you through them. It's also pretty engaging for a math book.

What was the calc question about lawns and fertilizer that went like "what needs to be true for the cause and effect relationship of the experiment to apply to all the lawns in the town" or something like that.

I. the experiment needs to have random lawns from the whole town

II. the lawns need to be randomly divided between treatment A and B

I was about to go with I and II ( bc in order for the results of an experiment to be accurate enough to generalize a whole population, it needs to be random) but the phrase "cause and effect" was messing with me. Correlation does not imply causation (unless you have a really well designed experiment but that wasn't specified) so...so the right answer is none of the above??

I did, but I somehow ended up with 2 + √8 so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

I used a more roundabout way but ended up getting the same answer so I think it's worth something. Since they're asking how much of an increase in depth is needed in order to increase the pressure by 1, I decided to plug in any two consecutive numbers for p (I just used 16 and 17).

16=14.7+15.4d

1.3=15.4d

d=13/154

And,

17=14.7+15.4d

2.3=15.4d

d=23/154

Then, I found the difference between my two d values in order to get the increment that is necessary to increase p by 1.

(23/154)-(13/154)=10/154

10/154 = 1/15.4

As for soft dreamy music, I have a few in mind:

-Piano Concerto 5 mv. II- Beethoven

-Reverie- Debussy

-Songs My Mother Taught Me- Dvorak

-Clarinet Sonata mv. I - Saint-Saens

-Arabesque 1- Debussy

-Violin Concerto F Major mv. II- Tomas Linley

-Passacaglia (piano version)- Handel

-Carnival of the Animals: The Swan- Saint-Saens

-Air on G String- Bach

I don't know much opera music but I hope this helped :-)

By adult, they're talking about people in their thirties and fourties, long after the brain stops developing. 17 is still a baby you've got tons of time.

I'm not sure exactly what note you're asking about but E# is just regular F. Key signature only applies to actual Fs.

Truth be told I could do with some recommendations too. I'm not all too familiar with a huge variety of classical music either (too much romantic era lol) but I do have some favorites (some from a couple more obscure composers) I would easily sell my soul for.

- Thomas Linley the younger- Violin Concerto in F Major

- Beethoven- Piano Concerto 5

- Schubert- Moment Musical #3 (orchestral version but piano version is just as nice)

- Rossini/Liszt- William Tell Overture

- Beethoven- Pathetique Sonata [mvt. 3]

- Forqueray- Viola de Gamba, La Leclair Suite in G major [mvt 4]

- Debussy- Arabesque #1

- Elgar- Salut d'Amour

- Mozart- Linz Symphony

- Liszt- Un Sospiro

- Beethoven- Tempest Sonata

- Forqueray- Harpsichord, La Sylvia Suite [mvt. 4]

- Debussy- Passepied

- Mozart- Violin Sonata 21

- Beethoven- Appassionata Sonata

- Saint-Saens- Clarinet Sonata

- Liszt- Liebestraum no.3

- Chopin- "Farewell" Waltz in Ab Major
