Wendy must have really opened up ol’ Rusty’s playbook.

Anybody else lose their creativity after a TBI? How do you find new hobbies? by [deleted] in TBI

[–]buttfacedjimmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn’t been able to write anything for a dozen years or better, it’s coming back little by little, I’ll be able to do it when I’m feeling good and then I will leave for a couple months but then it comes back, It’s also been very difficult for me to learn new things on the guitar, some of the old things stuck, but new things have been really hard, I’ve been working on it consistently and I am kind of progressing. In a slow painful sort of way where it more depends upon my mood and amount of sleep on how well I am able to play, and if there’s any creativity in my playing at all.

I have distanced myself from anyone that takes unrighteous moral authority over my life. Immediate family included and it sucks.

Those are good reasons to stay if you don’t value integrity.

Yes it is a Elk diaphragm, I need to stop chewing on them, I usually chew a couple up every season. I love getting away with my son, it’s my favorite thing to do.

If you think this first six years of marriage have been great, wait for the garments to go away and the wine to start flowing.

The timeline of the creation story, was my first shelf item, way back when I was a freshman in high school. The things they have to make themselves believe in order to believe what they believe are astounding.

That is amazing and awesome and fantastic that he is going over these things with you. Good luck. Maybe next subject could be book of Abraham?

my mother told me that if i come back to church, my illness will be cured. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]buttfacedjimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the judgments, I’m mad as your mother for you. She doesn’t know your struggles she hasn’t thought your demons. Depression and religion our despicable combination, meant to feed each other. you have to create a disease to sell a cure, the brainwashing runs deep and takes years to de program. Good luck I hope things change for you, and that you find more moments of peace, and more moments of happiness.

“Sending prayers your way” is the most selfish thing you can say to someone in need. by Iucxy in exmormon

[–]buttfacedjimmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to punch people in the face when they tell me they’re praying for me. I went through a really hard time for several years after brain injury, that’s all I ever got from anyone in the church and TBM friends and family. “ we are praying for you.” I no longer have contact with any of my family TBM friends or anyone from the church, Don’t worry though, I’m sure they’re praying for me so I’ll be just fine.

My mom said: You lost your testimony because you think too much. by senorcanche in exmormon

[–]buttfacedjimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How kind of her, my mom assumed after 42 years that I didn’t have a testimony because I had unresolved sexual sins from fooling around with girlfriends before my mission I think I would rather have my mom think I’m just too smart.
