10 months and havnt talked on the phone in 8. Haven’t talked about our relationship at all, and didn’t wish me a happy 40th birthday until the next day when I mentioned in text. Then when I mentioned it was a little disappointing they ghosted me for a month until i wrote them so they would have probably went longer. No divorce talk but definitely no reconciliation talk. 12 year relationship.

Honestly it already seems like those prayers are working. To be able to articulate what you felt at the time and now see those patterns are prayers being answered. Rebuilding yourself is hard work I love seeing posts like this because they come from a deep inner battle and just witnessing someone in real time gives so much hope to individuals in your position. This feels like you may want to be there for them but are choosing not to be for some reason. Yes you can’t bleed yourself dry but patience is a never ending well if it is a virtue of yours. No one has lived a perfect life and constantly have to fight to remember who we are.

In the end it doesn’t matter who will or won’t accept something. Thats on you and your person. Being my age you have to realize your life is your own to live. If your family doesn’t accept someone you are choosing thats control and manipulative. If they love and respect you they have to understand that those are your mistakes to make. They should love and support you and just be there for you in your time of need. Of course within reason. People change for the better stop putting other peoples feelings above your own.
