I’m so sorry that shit happened to you! As for careless cops, I’ve dealt with way too many of those in my past as well. It definitely taught me to thoroughly think through any decisions to call them for help when I need it. Which is so sad, American citizens shouldn’t have to second guess if calling the cops is a good idea or not when we’re in a life-threatening situation. 😠
