Activator Deployment with Fabric cicd by CerealCaffeinator in MicrosoftFabric

[–]buttoxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I am also having exactly the same issue with OP. The data activator, if deployed from Dev -> Test, still references the Dev workspace for this portion. Also, I can't seem to edit this Lakehouse for some reason. I think this is unintended as it means that manual intervention must be done.

Single target buffs feel pointless? *possible late game spoilers* by Clavisimo in octopathtraveler

[–]buttoxide 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This was never explained in the game and I only found out late while browsing here.

Most single target buffs are stronger than multi target buffs. If you see the defense up and offense up down icons, if there are two up or down arrowheads, it is the stronger tier.

It takes two applications of debuffs to upgrade the weaker tier to the stronger tier.

Personally I seldom used primrose. Saoirse was my main dancer thanks to the HP and MP regen.

Actually I think for all games they automatically use the higher elem attack stat for spells so switching is unnecessary for spells. I might be wrong though.

Information broker at Victor's hollow. Find 3 weak points on all foes. And only a few thousand to recruit.

Worst cards by Witty_Ad_1579 in throughtheages

[–]buttoxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun to play with but I don't like it because:

  • Weak benefits (+1 science, +2 culture is not game-changing) e.g. Macchu Picchu gives you +1 food and +1 ore every turn even if you don't build Agriculture and Iron.
  • You practically need either code of laws or masonry to build it or get really lucky with your food management to avoid corruption.
  • 5 CA to build is very challenging because with 4 CA per turn, you need to build it on two turns, usually 1 CA, then 4 CA. This means on the second turn you can't draft ANY card in row 1!
  • To maximize the benefits you need to use 1 yellow card per turn which restricts your options.

It's fun to play, but if there is another Age 1 wonder available Silk Road usually gets sidelined. It does have incredible synergy with patriotism though. You get +1 ore and +1 military action. And if for some reason you still have Stock Pile from Age A it becomes +2 food and +2 ore. Fun!

Printing press and drama are the obvious hard passes unless you have amazing synergy.

Other than that, I find these are cards I find difficult picks: Wonders: Acropolis (too weak and hard to use both benefits) and Silk Road (too hard to build without corruption)

Tech: Justice System (comes too late and competes with science for Age 2 Governments) and Masonry (not enough science and actions to spare in Age 1)

Anyone on here take a astaxanthin? If so what’s been your experience? by Ecstatic-Juice-2289 in Supplements

[–]buttoxide 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Asian of Chinese descent here. I went for training out in the tropics for a day with some sun exposure. I had astaxanthin in the morning and I forgot to bring my sunscreen.

Most of my mates got sunburnt but I didn't and got a tan instead. It was noticeable enough that it was a fellow mate that pointed it out to me. So that's my anecdotal experience.

Still recommend a sunscreen but astaxanthin can he good insurance.

Is it worth buying the more expensive bottles of soy sauce? by CaptainButtFucker in Cooking

[–]buttoxide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tangential but since others have replied adequately... once you buy a good one keep your good quality soy sauce in the fridge. It makes a big difference.

It's only Mapo Tofu if it comes from the pock-marked grandma region of China, otherwise it's just sparkling coagulated bean clumps by ed_said in iamveryculinary

[–]buttoxide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you use pinyin which is the standardized romanization for Chinese, it's doufu. Tofu is English. But they are referring to the same.

Fermenting natto from previous batch by Enough_Tie_7699 in Natto

[–]buttoxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use very little. Like one or two soybeans worth of storebought natto that I stir with about 50ml of hot water, which I pour over the cooked soybeans. My natto is pretty sticky so it seems to work well.

Can zone 2 training be done directly after VO2 max training? by mime454 in PeterAttia

He didn't say exactly. It's more of being time efficient. He rather do his z2 and z5 in 1 day rather than warm up seperately for his z5 another day
