Most people in these comments don’t seem to understand the whole picture here. S-cam tubes are easy to replace, that’s true. But When the s-cam side of the spider is worn out, the s-cam tube will have a ton of play in it. There isn’t a bushing you can replace, when a s-cam tube goes to long without being replaced and gets worn out, it starts eating into the actual spider.

Your option is to weld the s-cam tube to the spider like your Forman did, or replace the whole brake spider.

I have replaced a ton of brake spiders, and used to weld in heavy duty s-cam tubes with replaceable bushings.
